That's thing... worship... isn't about the song contemporary or hymn... where's ur heart? where's ur focus? On the music? The people around you who u're trying to Impress to make yourself appear more "christian"? Even God? K... here's the thing... true worship is when u are sincerely with all you are praising God and desiring to meet with Him. Just like prayer its not what you're saying or even so much what words u use but what's behind it. Focus on who God is... and what he's done Be yourself.

I disagree with those that think this is trying to promote one worship style over another. I think it's just about trying to use humor to show how excited we get for some things and to ask whether that's proportionate to the importance of the event. I'm from Memphis and the Grizzlies beat the Spurs the day before Easter and there was more excitement over that win than over Jesus' win over death. Doesn't mean people need to be artificially excited in church, but they should be happier.

Would to God that your worship was a little more like an NFL game, Jesus would be thrilled with some kind of emotion. Sadly in some churches worship is more like a funeral service, full of dead people, mourning the blues. James 2:26 says the body without the spirit is dead. So is the church without the Holy Spirit.

The premise of this video is contrived. Just a strawman argument, invented out of an envious heart. No true worshiper ever names the name of Jesus lightly. Jesus told the Pharisees, If we don't praise Him, the rocks would cry out! Those who object to passionate worship wouldn't have a problem jumping up and down and shouting at an outdoor sporting event, watching some pampered millionaire run down the field, chasing a bunch of pigskin. God forbid, we show that excitement for the King of Kings.
