Poor Farinelli. Making a movie full of insults and slander wasn't enough, they even managed to screw up the singing. Poor technique, no support, sloppy, and that goes for both singers. Why didn't they get a good male soprano to sing this, or a female soprano for that matter?

Farinelli getting married, singing on a market square, insulting Händel? Omg!

@akis723 No, the acting is bad, the voice-over is bad, and I don't know if it is the fact that they blended the voices or the voices they picked, but the vocals are screechy. The difference is more a matter of maturity than a want of innocence.

Was für eine schöne Arie.Man muß den Film kennen um alles richtig zu verstehen und welche Leistung dann erst ein Counter-Tenor bringt.Bei einem Kastraten-Sänger blieb die Stimme ja dadurch so hoch,wenn der Schauspieler das natürlich nicht so singen kann.Aber der Film ist gut gemacht,sehr berührend und S.Dionisi hat die richtigen Mundbewegungen.Er gab sich große Mühe,wie ich finde.Danke für das Video!!!

La cantante que interpreta a Farinelli en toda la película es la mezzo italiana Cecilia Bartoli, y sin dudas una de las mejores del mundo.

@daiquan79 No. te equivocas: en realidad son dos cantantes una soprano y un contratenor. Los ingenieros se las arreglaron para mezclarlas. Fue necesario que la cantaran un contralto (contratenor, hombre) y una soprano para cubrir el extraordinario registro (agudos, graves) que tenía Farinelli y que hoy son inexistentes en un solo hombre o mujer (al menos que se sepa públicamente).
