  • I can't friggin believe this album isn't huge! I love every song!

  • You're all a bunch of Jocko Homos.

  • black guy in the back with the bike.. i lol'd.

  • Still more than top ! Thanks for put it down here . Remembers me alwalys to my old dad in that time ... than ... great ! Devo !

  • To me, Devo did the right choice. Besides "Watch Us Work It" which is pretty cool (and "Cameo" which is terribly annoying) the other tracks pretty much sucked. "Let's Get To It" is OK but has the melody lifted from "Turn Around", "Knock Boots" is lifeless and "Signal Ready" is just a bad song. On the other hand "March On" while not spectacular is better and I really, really like "No Place Like Home", one of my favourites on the album. No complaining about the other tracks: Devo did a great job

  • @ghellogm And "Step Up" is a great song as is "Human Rocket" and "Don't Shoot...." All three are better than "Fresh," which is not bad.

  • @ghellogm Yeah, I definitely would've traded "Watch Us Work It" with "Cameo". Otherwise, great album.

  • @ghellogm

That you talk of "lifelessness" while having Family Guy clips in your favorites amuses me.

  • So original...!

  • Did you people actually believe that the song study was real?

  • @weaseldragon Because it WAS real. While the "focus group" jargon was just parody, Devo held an online survey to determine the track listing for the new album.

  • @Blaze1289 And Booji Boy is a real baby.

  • ROFL! Is that one of the guys from Cheap Trick in the Background?!

    Also, Mad Props Devo!

You guys still sound fresh and kick ass after so many years

  • That was friggin' great! :o)

  • That was friggin' great! :o)

  • I am a spudghetti fan from Italy and find it extremely difficult to get this new album ... No chance to order my copy online 'cos it seems they're unable to ship deliveries in my country.... couldn't either download from itunes due to credit card problems ....

Do you spuds know if this album will be available on record shops too ?

  • "No Place Like Home"

The most poignant song ever recorded by DEVO and quite timely !

I am experiencing a increased synchronicity in my life,I am crediting the return of DEVO as the primary factor in this pleasant experience !

Q: Duty now for the Future ? A: Later is Now !

  • "Watch us work it" should have been on the album, and as the first track.

  • I read online somewhere of a rumor that around July 20th there will be available a 2 disk version of the new album. Has anyone else heard of this? No other information was given than that.

  • @adwatts66 Idiot.

  • If you go to the website Colbertnation you can hear the entire album.Be warned though; Watch Us Work It, Signal Ready, Let's Get To It, & Knockin' Da Boots are not included. Except for Knockin', bad move.Don't Shoot, due to what sounds like a some remixing, is the best in my opinion. Marching On is pretty good when you listen to it in it's entirity. No Place Like Home, Devo's attempt at a ballad, is the worst by far. They should have listened to the fans & gone with the survey results.

  • @Kolchaksentry No Place Like Home was actually my favorite - and while I can't account for the change/switch from what was voted for, I AM happy that song will be available. I even pleaded on their site for them to make that song available somewhere. I wonder if the tracklist switch was Devo's call or the label's? Devo (in the video above) seem to be more than willing to go along with the song choice as picked by the fans...

  • @PlaceSoFarAway I think either the record label or the marketing company made the recommendation to issue a deluxe edition of the album with all 16 songs on it. I've been reading various articles and reviews and this seems to be the path they've indicated they're taking. The reviews so far have been very positive. I wonder how the album is doing on the charts. My favorite is Watch Us Work It because of the guitar riff.

  • "Please Baby Please"... Is this a cover of the Sparks song from "In Outer Space".

  • Ah, why the track change?

Not so subtle political commentary on the way democracy works?

  • @gridbread Very good reading... I think that could be it.

  • Oh sweet, surprisingly (or not surprisingly) the ones I liked less didn't make the cut, neato.

  • Yeah...What happened to Watch Us Work It?

  • @MegaJetJaguar Theres a Delux version of ''something for everybody'' and I think all the eliminated tracks are on there. Go to Wikipedia and type in Devo and its all there :)

  • Tim and Eric take note, this is the original temple of weird.

  • where is Watch Us Work It?!?!! it's the best song in the bunch!

  • @Plasticsoul you got that right!!!

  • DUTY NOW FOR THE FUTURE!

    Wallabes FTW!

Freedom to voice freedom of choice

  • Human Rocket made it!!!!! That's awesome! It had a low percentage of votes, so I was pretty worried about it not making the cut.

  • Human Rocket made it to the finals! Yay!!!

  • What i don't understand is why the HELL would they omit Watch Us Work It? its classic Devo AND it had the highest vote count. That just doesn't make much sense..

  • @CodyT3212 Because apparently somebody thought March On was a much, much better song

  • @CodyT3212 "Watch Us Work It" was used on Yo Gabba Gabba - Season 3 - Superhero episode, that could have a little to do with it. Check out that video if you are able, it's amazing.

  • @CodyT3212

Perhaps because it's already available? I think it should be on there too.

  • @CodyT3212 Probably because it was not technically a new song..... i.e., it was recorded more than a year ago.

  • good stuff....ready to de-evolutionize,

  • The cut songs will hopefully be used for B-sides or bonuses of some sort.

  • Every song made could fit on the cd. I don't understand why any songs had to be left off. People like some of the songs left off. People don't like some of the songs left on. To make everybody happy every song should have stayed on.

  • I smiled all the way through this! This is exactly what I expected and you guys didn't let me down! Looking foreward to the CD! I was hoping that the suits would have asked the photographer who he works for, and his reply would have been: "you guys" Suits nod ...oh yeah.... :)

  • sure is racist in here

  • PLEASE READ The songs listed in this video are not the final tracklisting of "Something For Everybody". Here is the actual tracklisting: 1. Fresh 2. What We Do 3. Please Baby Please 4. Don't Shoot (I'm a Man) 5. Mind Games 6. Human Rocket 7. Sumthin' 8. Step Up 9. Cameo 10. Later Is Now 11. No Place Like Home 12. March On
  • @LonelyAtTheTop79 @LonelyAtTheTop79 Maybe there's just been a mis-communication. They'll get it sorted out. (But hopefully not. I want No Place Like Home on the record. Who knows what will happen to the tracks that didn't make the cut?)

  • @adwatts66 Your ears are in for quite a surprise

The actual tracklisting has Cameo on it, as well as March On and No Place Like Home. The actual 4 songs that were left off are Knock Boots, Let's Get To It, Signal Ready, and Watch Us Work It

I listen to complete albums too, so this is gonna suck :(

  • @tranxcend Club Devo website. The album is avaliable for preorder. The tracklisting is included in the description. It's only '88% Focus Group Approved'.

    That's my source.

  • But the final tracklisting is different from this! Cameo, No Place Like Home and March On are on it! Watch Us Work It, Let's Get To It and Signal Ready got kicked off!

  • @feefafo Hey spud! Where are you getting your (mis)information? Because it seems to me like you're trying to argue with the source.

    Later is now.

  • great!

  • GREG! GREG! GREG! GREG! GREG!

  • Is that Sir Richard Branson with the girl on his lap?

PS. The songs that didn't make it were pretty terrible (my bottom four, as a matter of fact), but I'd still like to hear them as bonus tracks, someday.

  • Truly a victory for the populace at large. Something For Everybody!

  • omg, Greg Scholl in live action! lol i thought i'd never see it!

  • Comment removed

  • so we've pretty much been lied to by Mark and Jerry.

  • Dear DEVO:

Give the four cut songs to the guy who runs Booji Boy's Basement. The most hardcore of spuds will surely be grateful.

  • guy with bicycle rulez!!
