no, you beat us somewhat fair and square, but from a sad penguins fan that enjoyed watching two legends make a cup run the year after lemieux sat out because of cancer, only to lose to a lunchpail group of players that resorted to abominable tactics that got them no where against the avs, left a very bitter taste in my mouth that made me realize you were part of a growing nhl style of play that doomed the league and it is now only starting to recover from it
You're kinda right, but we actually had a decent team that year with a litte bit of luck. Mellanby, Niedermayer, Barnes, Jovo, and of course "the Beezer." But you're right about afterwards. We haven't won a playoff series since this series in 96, and haven't won a playoff game since 97. Yeah, you would think after three solid seasons in our first three years, we would be able to do something afterwards, but after most of the expansion players have left, we haven't had a prayer.

In my book it was all bad balance on Lemieux why he went to the ice, no teather at this time.
Hockey is hockey, tough game.
Svehla was good player in the NHL, best Floridas defenseman that year.
More better than Jovanovski in own end.
Paul Laus was also very good that year(95-96).
