can you use a different channel of sounds for each layer on the tenori on for vst?... I haven´t been able to do that.... just use vst in channel 1 or the first layer of the tenori on!..
i would really, really love to have one of these to play around with but the price tag is a bit excessive for what you get. sure, its interesting and engaging, but not so much that its worth $1000. Korg Kaossilator is less than $200 and does very similar things. I know its not exactly the same, but for $800 i'll keep on dreaming...
If you just want a MIDI controller with the lights then get a monome: it's a lot more intelligent as well. But of course, you'll be forking out a lot more dough <.<
yo brian, i allready checked the monome and also the lemur. both are nice toys but dont fit my needs. at the moment i am using an old yamaha rs7000 to sequence and control my virtual instruments in ableton and my hardware synths as well and the ableton mixer control does my maudio projectmix quiet good. so i dont need another controller! what i am looking for is a better sequencer with more intuitive possibilities like genoqs octopus or nemo but small and digital...

yeah but u can´t use the kaossilator as a midi controller... I have the tenori on.. and the kaossilator.. so I know about that..

@rolilla kaossilator pro, man. thats where its at. that does midi.

why is the tenori-on $1000? its only worth $200 to me.

You're so damned right, mate!
They should offer a version as a controller only. The included samples are so weak and boring...

just what i am waiting for.
the tenori as controller only with widi and 32 channels.

@salzmanufaktur
the new kaossilator pro works as a midi controller and has way better sounds. i know its a bit different, but its pretty close.
curtaineater 1 year ago
@salzmanufaktur Isn't that the reason you should just build a monome instead?
tjksvids 1 year ago
because it is hand made, and because toshio iwai didnt sold the license to yamaha. in fact $200 was the expected price.

@assgroos
i think 70$... samples are not good at all... and if you wanna buy a similar but simple controller: NOVATION LAUNCHPAD.
