  • The lord of your video are you?

    is very funny congratulations

  • You right Uncle Jay, some of the despcription is about Communism. But socialism IS about sharing.

We the people, share a large portion of our profits with the government. A large portion of those donations go toward setting up great bureacracies, so that the little that is left over can help those in need.

  • Glad you got a day off, Uncle Jay

  • haha!! funny guy...

  • Good

  • Nice job, Uncle Jay. But your analysis is correct!

  • Changing of the shirt to red = brilliant

  • Ah revisionists history. USA has not always been socialistic. But we are becoming more and more so. As long as capitalism thrives, socialism cannot.. Charity, however, can and should.

  • Nonsense, water. I defy you to name me one government at any point in history that has not had socialist components. Just one. As soon as you pay a nickel in taxes, you have socialism.

Perhaps, rather than throwing around childishly simple black-and-white labels, we could illuminate the debate better by acknowledging the necessity of some amount of socialism, and discussing exactly what degree of socialism is desirable.

  • Thank you, 47f0! I am so sick of hearing people act like we don't have socialist aspects in our government! What the hell do they think Medicare and Medicaid is? Or SOCIAL security? Of course, I shouldn't be surprise they don't realize that since they think that "socialism" and "communism" are interchangeable terms.

  • All the red.

  • haha - yes! Excellent as always.

  • Fascism comprises a radical and authoritarian nationalist political ideology and a corporatist economic ideology. We are not really socialist, our government is fascist. In fact THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA is uppercased for a reason, it is actually a corporation, and we are it's employees. Look at the dollar, or any government emblem. The corporate bank which funds the corporate America, is the FEDERAL RESERVE. As any corp, you are required to behave as the corp sees fit.

  • It was funny and true this time too! Thank you, Uncle Jay! Don't let communists define the term "socialism," because they can't be right thinking from the left.

  • Main Entry: so·cial·ism, noun, 1837

    1 : any of various economic and political theories advocating collective or governmental ownership and administration of the means of production and distribution of goods; 2 a : a system of society or group living in which there is no private property b : a system or condition of society in which the means of production are owned and controlled by the state;

  • 3 : a stage of society in Marxist theory transitional between capitalism and communism and distinguished by unequal distribution of goods and pay according to work done

  • Wow - Sounds spot on as they say across the pond.

  • Thank you for your 'real' definitions. I am sure you were trying to prove me wrong, but if anything you just proved my right. My wording of the definition of socialism matches almost all of your definitions. Mine simply delineates the probability of a degree of variation (which undeniably exists) in the Level of control, ownership, regulation etcetera by the government.

  • True we already have socialism. But i would argue it started in 1913. Its fun to watch people on tv blame capitalism for the poor investments of wealth caused by the unintended but predictable results of socialism.

  • mmm, meant to comment that towards your post.
