the shadow you're making is wrong. bad drawing. What about LIGHT? when you think about shadows on the object, you also need to think about light SOURCE. Where is the light coming from in your studio? awful drawing, beginners be careful.

You still need to blend to add texture. To get a truly realistic texture, you're going to be layering graphite a lot, and blending it quite a bit.
