Wow! I just heard Eddie Vedder sing my favorite lines to my favorite SD song. "I spent all of my money. I've been drinking since a half past noon. Times are hard getting harder. I'm born to lose and destind to fail."
this is awesome two of my favorites i never thought i would see this thanks for posting it, this is simply great all these old timers getting together to kepp our music alive and well bravo!
Let me also ad that Eddie is clearly drunk. He is enjoying himself just like rest of us. And we can go back and forth about how the mics are set for Mike but in reality, Eddie Vedder just sang with Social Distortion. Does it get any better?
Vedder is fine, and the organ is actually an awesome touch, but whoever was playing drums for Social D on this tour was fucking awful. No energy, lame kick-snare timekeeping during the normally vocals-only part of the chorus...come on, son.
I'm a huge Social D fan and a Pearl Jam fan too. Always thought those two worlds should never collide. But they did and I'm cool with it since Social D is the band getting props. I once read an artical in Guitar World or one of the other guitar mags where Mike McCready (Pearl Jam) gave Mike Ness his due for his guitar chops. Long live Social Distortion.
@mbtjr Yeah. Should have been have been "Take away, take away, never to return again, take away, take away, this ball and chain". But he still pulled it off and M.N. never flinched. Good showmanship.
to say ed sounds like a pos is like saying gsimakoski knows what he's talking about. you do not know what you are talking about and please keep your uneducated thoughts to yourself. it would be in your best interest.
Eddie Vedder isn't just a music icon- He's a huge music fan! It's like watching a kid live out his dreams, he plays with every one of his heros he can find.
You can show a sensitive side when you're an ACTUAL badass. When you're just playing at it, you have to be hard all the time. Mike Ness knocked out a dude with one punch and didn't even put his beer down. He's the realest deal there is.
yeah that's Atom Willard on the drums, he played in Rocket From The Crypt, The Offspring, Angels & Airwaves... and some other bands for a short time period.
Atom is a good drummer... but I totally miss Charlie Quintana, he was awesome!! He fitted in perfect with Social D.
And a Social D track should never be played with Eddie Vedder.. it sounds awful! I did like it when Mike Ness and Johnny 2 Bags came on stage with Pearl Jam for the song Down, that sounded pretty good. :)
hey uh how bout fuck you... first off pearl jams not punk rock genre second seattle is one of the music capitols of the world and third if you dont like it dont fuckin watch it dumbass.. but ya i agree eddie vedder should not try to sing spaztic punk rock.
This was one of the many highlights of the night. I've seen many, many concerts in my life & I've never seen any of the main act come on stage during the warmup acts performance. Thanks for posting this.
Does Eddie & Pearl Jam do this a lot? This was my 1st ever PJ concert.
I then went to the 10/31 concert to close the Spectrum & Eddie came out for 1 song w/ Bad Religion.
So much soul and passion in this piece. Love it

I'm checking out the people in the back of the curtain getting refreshments. Why the fuck would you want to miss this. They have no clue obviously.

Vedder almost reminds me of Johnny Cash, when he does the "little wife" verse.

Musically, Eddie Vedder is pretty good. Personally, he's one of the biggest douches I've ever come across. My opinion.
