Haas and Benjamin were great in the ring, but their characters were held down for some reason. Kurt Angle was their mentor then suddenly he went his own way. Then they were separated on Raw and Smackdown for no reason.The most common way to split a team up is to have them fued then split. Benjamin was face and got cheered then turned heel with that horrible "mama" gimmick. Haas got fired,his wife went to TNA. Haas returned stealing gimmicks and jobbing. Now they've both been fired.

You're right about Swagger, but Benoit, Guerrero, and Angle were over before they became champions? I think that the WWE sees something in Swagger; they think that he's another Kurt Angle. They just don't see much in Benjamin and (especially) Haas. They might not think that Benjamin is capable of getting a reaction even if they put the title on him. Being champ doesn't magically get a guy over.
