@fluffydie I would make sure her hay rack is just above the "toilet". This way, if pee or poop needs to be done, there is a chance it will happen just like that.
we began by giving them a treat each time they would come. Now we give a treat once in a while, just for them to be interested enough to still come no matter what.
First, have her spayed. Then you will be able to begin to work with her. too, spayed your bunny will eliminate uterine cancer which they are prompt to.
Usually, around 6months to a year they are in what we call the teen time..lol They can be pretty aggressive, even if you are a very good owner and do the proper things to care for it.
A sure way to help too is to have your bun spayed.
First, you cinfine them in a smaller area so they get use to use the litter pan. Then, you give more and more space till your bun knows there is just one place that he can pee and poo: the litter tray!
she's lovely, great at stairs. our bunny sparty used to climb the stairs and take the last three or four all at once. jeeze my heart would be in my throat. she didn't go down them though!!
good job, little bunny!! Please make sure though, the bunny CANNOT slide down unexpected. those stairs look very slick. bunnies can lose their grip easily, on something like that, and hit their head!!
@fluffydie can you have her inside at all time?

You mean you put her in a box to bring her outside?
First, give her a small treat.
Why not try a leach and a harness? take her in your arms, cuddle with her and then go explore the garden with her.

Bonbon, lui aussi, il monte et descends les escaliers! Mais ça a pris beaucoup de temps quand il était petit. Maintenant il court en haut et en bas.

Is your bunny litter box trained? I would like one.

Yes she is.
It is really like having a kitty when you have a bunny: the main difference is that you have to bunny-proof your home:) Wires are tempting for buns:)

a hazelnut named Noisette in French;)
DORAMARIE 2 years ago
That's one amazing bunny you got there.
Oui, elle est tres cute! (don't know the French noun for it.)

Rabbits are at least as brilliant as cats. If a cat can do it, there is a chance a bunny will too:)
of course, we are not talking about special specie abilities like bunny binkies or cat prowling;)
DORAMARIE 2 years ago
Wow amazing. You actually taught her to do that?! Cool! smart bunny too.

You train them, just like with a cat.
First, you cinfine them in a smaller area so they get use to use the litter pan. Then, you give more and more space till your bun knows there is just one place that he can pee and poo: the litter tray!

So cute! Jack is afraid to use the stairs. He'll go up but he won't go down.
m00nbugg 3 years ago
I can't say we are making her practice because this house is big and we have a lot of non-bunny-friendly- spaces..lol

I like Noisette very much, she has these spots around her dark eyes that makes her look sooooo cute!! What a sweet bun!
