He is on an alex 103 which alex horns are known for being able to flip their keys. I do it too. :-) It allows you to play in Bb without a trigger and F with a Trigger. Essentially, it turns it into a Single Bb Horn with an F Extension. Just the way I like it.
you dont need to custom order a 103 to be able to flip the thumb key. It is what a 103 is known for. Just look at every single 103 made. There is the open change valve. All you need to do is hook the bolt to the correct joint.

what? A 103 is an F Bflat with no compensation.F on top Bflat on bottom. Custom order get you the flip
