  • All respect to JJ...Great song writter and musician that many do not know. Clapton has acknowleded his respect for JJ for a long time. Also JJ has said when Eric calls and wants to record a song of mine it usually means a very nice pay day for a long time. JJ has toured very little over the years and never got into it for the fame part of it. He's very happy to write great songs and play'em on his own terms. He has a amazing catalog of quality toones to say the least...

  • this is Wahnsinn

  • Awesome drumming & guitars aplenty..man this song has it down..what an incredible groove..i'm hooked already..superb guitar tone evident from Clapton & JJ Cale..would loved to have been in the studio when this was recorded.. love it..........

  • This is probably one of the top 3 things E.C. has done in the last decade. The other 2 would be "One more care one more rider" cd/dvd and the Robert Johnson DVD that was mostly the rehearsals. That is just one fans opinion.

  • Geeeeil......

  • WHat we all gain......LOVE,LOVE,LOVE.....JJ is AMAZING...WHAT a honor....ERIC as well.....''WE LOVE YOU''....THANKYOU! Blessing's, Peace,LOVE,Light! :)

  • what did JJ gain ... thats easy a great session with a great guitarist he respects if you listen to the interviews EC gently pushes JJ into more singing and it really being about JJs talents THAT was ECs intent all along Homage to a great songwriter /guitarist that he respects , wonderfull smooooooth album

  • Can understand why Clapton wanted to play with Cale and what he gained - can't understand why JJ played with Clapton though. What did he gain?

  • @zthetha maybe an awesome song?

  • @zthetha

    $

  • Just Superb !!!!!

  • Great song but respect for JJ Cale who's name is first on the album for a reason would be something to consider. JJ wrote all the songs on the album including this one as well as produced the album, plus his name should be first because he's JJ Cale! The vibe and feel of the album and its songs are all about the genius of JJ Cale, and Clapton knows who's the man.

  • @Cooleemee43 Except "Three little girls" by Clapton. Cale is the man!

  • @fleafarteasy - I'm a huge Clapton fan and there are very very few musicians one could say Clapton would look up to as "the man" but JJ is that rare guy, and people don't even know who he is and that is amazing in itself; JJ Cale is probably the best kept secret in the music biz!

  • @Cooleemee43 completely agree, Im 20 and I appreciate jj cale, best blues cd right here

  • @Cooleemee43 No, ---I--- am the best kept secret in the music business. You've heard of J.J. Cale, have you ever heard of me? No! There, see? Told ya. Shhhhhhhhhh. Keep it under your hat. All my music will be released posthumously, that way nobody can ever say I was only in it fopr the money.

  • @Cooleemee43 He's no secret to some of us. Been listening to J J Cale since the 70's and it's just a shame he's not that well known but you know something I dont think he cares about fame. Cool guy. One of the musics greatest artists and a true genius. Clapton owes him a lot.

  • original
