@vesji The universe wasn't created by Bioware, most of their material is already there. The force is a key tenet in the Star Wars mythology established over 25 years ago. Force ghosts are evidenced by Ben Kenobi in The Empire Strikes Back, and force walking is common in the expanded universe. Your comment makes it seem as if this is the first time you've heard of Star Wars :P

And for the record, as much as I love Mass Effect, it can't begin to compare with the Star Wars universe.
