  • @rikulover9

    same here

  • @rikulover9 me too!!

  • I hate these cheesy commercials... Both this one and "Castle in the Sky" have the exact same type of commercial and are equally as cheesy. :p

  • In the 90's-early 2000's: "One of the best animated films of the year"

    Nowadays: "Anime is so stupid!"

Me: -_- Are you fucking kidding me?

  • @Mkayla50 I agree with you. Some people think that anime is just nothing. but to the rest of us, it's awesome! ☺

  • @Mkayla50 O, tempora, o mores! anime films of those days were great, but not now! nowadays anime is smth dark, evil..

  • @Mkayla50 Nowadays: "Anime is GREAT STILL" FIX YOUR COMMENT

  • @Mkayla50 FIX YOUR COMMENT ITS WRONG

  • @Mkayla50 i know that feel bro. i know that feel

  • I use to love this movie

  • I remember when I first watched this in school back in 4th grade. I really liked it. :)

Then, I got to see it again in high school a few weeks ago at the Anime Club. Just as good as I remembered (and one of my friends in the club kept making random, but funny comments).

  • k, i think the trailer ruined this for me

  • Baths- Seaside Town

  • This movie was good

  • I know this movie so well that when Disney released the "special edition" version, I noticed EVERY little change the made. Characters were missing lines (some very necessary), music and sound effects were out of place. I was NOT pleased with it. I love this movie with all my heart and advise that anyone who wishes to see it, grabs themselves a good old vhs tape! ;)

  • when did this film come out? year?

  • @Baardnick 1989

  • hq??

  • man i love this movie... i still watch it from this day. ON VCR!

  • the boy looks like a young waldo

  • baths seaside town made me remember this movie

  • kirsten dunst does the english voice of kiki, did ya know?

  • Complete rip-off of Harry Potter! Thumbs down

  • @DareYouNotToClick1 this was way before harry potter

  • @DareYouNotToClick1 Lol it's nothing like Harry Potter.

  • Aww this was my childhood xD but princess mononoke was first

  • why do people have to dislike it ffs.

  • Unlike all you lucky jerks I didn't get to se this for the first time until I was 15 and what sucks even more is that I remember from when I was a kid that they showed this on Toon Disney all the time and I really wanted to see it but it was alway on when I was busy or at school. TT . TT So I now have experienced a movie that I know that I would have enjoyed as a kid but never got to see it. Oh well, better now than never! ^ u ^

  • @yotsubafanfan I enjoy nearly all cartoons much more as a teen than as a kid, because as a kid you barely notice the messages you just want to be entertained, but as a 19 year old I see it as so much more and enjoy the film in total

  • @Pinkberrythecat thats so true, its the same here

  • I remember seeing this at age 7, now I watched it again and cried. why? childhood

  • I love this movie sooo much! It was the very first anime movie I ever saw, the very thing that got me into anime :D

  • @xShiverRainx

I don't see what you're whinging about, Studio Ghibli films are usually dubbed really well in English, practically everyone agrees on that. The films are dubbed so those of us who don't speak japanese can enjoy Miyazaki's films too. Alot of his films are for kids, you don't honestly expect little children to read subtitles for 1 1/2 hours, do you?

  • @Gipshaw Ummm.....I assume this comment was directed at someone else? O.o

  • @xShiverRainx

Indeed it is, lol It was directed at gdragonlover. xD

  • @xShiverRainx

Indeed it is, lol It was directed at gdragonlover. xD

  • @Gipshaw

I wouldn't expect little kids to, no, but I recommend trying it with the subtitles. I like watching Ghibli films more in the Japanese now, even though I don't understand it. I've got used to it and like to hear the original voices. And I didn't really like how Kiki and the cat's voices sounded in the English version - she sounded too old and a deep, wise-cracking voice for the little cat seemed an odd choice.

  • This annoys me... Srry but i hate it when americans dub japanese movies and in the trailer it sounds like they made it themselves dont get me wrong, im american (HALF!! im very proud of being half japanese :))) ) abd i love this movie (the japanese version)

  • @gdragonlover2033 Oh stuff it. Americans dub japanese stuff all the time and it sounds fine, sometimes better then the original. Stop being a purist.

  • does anyone know where i can watch this???

  • very touching movie...hayao miyazaki rocks! ^_^

  • I remember seeing this when I was two. Memories -3

  • im going to cry this was my freaking childhood oh god i usually dont get so sentimental but i had a rough childhood and blocked alot of stuff out but this well this is something from my childhood i hope to preserve and keep in my heart forever thanks to whoever posted this video honestly you made my year

  • god, this, spirited away and castle in the sky are my favorite movies done by miyazaki. i actually have all three of them memorized. i LOVE them. :3

  • "Message of Rouge" by Yumi Arai was so much better than "Soaring"

  • Dude I love this movie, and I finally watched the entire movie after all these years (yeah I remember her and the cat but I didn't know her name and the name of the movie :P), Hayao Miyazaki is AWESOME! :D

  • is she a good

    witch?

  • First song played: Soaring by Sydney Forest, second: Im gonna Fly- also by Sydney Forest.

  • i remember seeing this movie on tv when i was like 7 cuz of my older sister XD it was so fun to watch but i dont remember what it was about lol so im gonna rewatch it today

  • @thatweirduglygirl

LOL, I didn't remember most of the movie too, good thing I found the movie, and still as awesome as I expected. :P

  • I remember watching this when I was just about 6 years old. I'm almost 16 now.

  • What is the name of the song that plays?

  • <333 I remember this trailer. I wanted to watch the movie so bad when I was little.

  • this was the first anime i watched and i was less than a year old when i saw it then i called my dog kiki after i could talk

  • New song sounds good, but I still feel strange with it.

The original song by Yumi Matsutoya fits so good with this movie.

  • I used to adore this.

    I'm nostalgia-ing so hard right now. :3

  • AAAAAAAAAAAA i love that movie!

  • 4 people fucked up a customers' print in the past 11 years

  • Oh wow... I finally found it. I watched this movie probably a decade ago when I was just a kid on Cartoon Network (back when it had Toonami (which was awesome)). It played a lot of stuff from Miyazaki like Spirited Away and City in the Sky (which I've also recently rewatched), Gundam SEED, DBZ, and even Neon Genesis Evangelion once. It was my childhood, which died along with Cartoon Network when they canceled it.

  • I named my cat Jiji

  • Pessimistic cat is pessimistic.

  • omg im going cry i havent watch movie in long time

  • @faboul467 doesnt it make you feel nogalistic

  • Where's wally?? HE'S FUCKING FALLING!!

But still a bloody good movie:D

  • Holy crap I love this movie I remeber I would image if I could fly on a broom yeah good time good times

  • re watching it again...i love the cat, his so funny :D

  • I think castle in the sky or ToToRo is my favorite.

  • Omg, such nostalgia...ah, I wish I was a kid again.

  • First go to listentoyoutube com the go to your fave youtube videos and hit the share button right click copy then go back to listen to youtube .com and paste at enter youtube url. some times it will work and other times it will but i now own nightcore songs be cause of it. i hope that i helped.

  • It's kinda funny how both my favorite Miyazaki and Disney movie came out on the same year (This and The Little Mermaid), and they both have a characters named Ursula O.o

  • That kid she catches near the clock looks a bit like waldo

  • @OogletheOwl lol in nausicaa valley of the wind miyazaki makes nausicaa wearing no underwear, and he shows it in the beginning of the movie when shes riding on her flying device. I think its just a japanese technique of adding a little sexual appeal in the movie. Its like in every animated japanese film haha

  • This was my first miyazaki movie.. saw it when i was soo little.. Nostalgia >.<

  • Seaside Town- Baths

Thanks for the beside samples out there.

  • I remember this trailer used to be on all my old Disney VHSes as a kid :)

  • why is it that in all these types of movies the characters are wearing diapers o.O

  • While this is one of the best movies ever made I have one complaint. They never really show what a wish can do. I'd love to see her show perhaps some powers. Not harry potter yet things out of just flying.

  • I've heard from various reviewers that this was Miyazaki's best film.

    Is that true?

  • @TheJboy88

For me the best Miyazaki's movie is "Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind".

  • @TheJboy88

No, Spirited Away is, from what I've seen

  • Hayao Miyazaki is a myth in that kind of scene no one can never be like him..

  • One person is pissed they can't fly. The second was the one crushed by the first when they fell.

  • LOL....i am an indian and my gf's name is kiki.....and we did not know she had cartoon character by her name

  • I remember when I was a kid I watched this movie a lot and loved it. :D

But it was for VHS and we got rid of our VHS player so I can't watch it anymore. So I forgot what most of it was like. :(

  • @axelsoraleon13 The same thing happened to me!! I had this on VHS as a kid and i LOVED IT. Probably my favorite movie when i was a kid. Of course we eventually had to move on and...*sniff* sell the tape in a garage sale *sob*

  • I use to rent this from Blockbuster ALL THE TIME!

  • I've seen this trailer a hundred times from another vhs movie I had as a child, and so I love this trailer from when I was little, but not the movie, because I didn't have it! I always wanted to watch this movie ...

  • Hayao Miyazaki is awesome! His movies rock

  • The accents annoy me so much when they dub Japanese anime I have to watch them in Japanese with subtitles as the original music is always better two. It's a shame they change the music I love this film. <3 Studio Ghibli makes Walt Disney look like a serious fail.

  • @TheLonelyFawn i actually thought the dub version and soundtrack is better than the japanese version... the only time i hate dubs are in actually anime shows

  • Hayao Miyazaki is a genius of animation! all movie's are so full of life and love and their are funny too! he is better than Walt Disney! in our days are produced only crap cartoons.

  • @sammyinasam walt disney is the best animator in history

  • oh my gosh i LOVED this movie when i was a kid, but then i forgot the name of it but now i found it!!!!! Yay!!!!

  • thumbs up if you saw the bus say studio ghibli

  • I rated a thumb down because advertising a anime movie like this is bad. this is not like any other disney bullshit retarded mickey mouse film . this is art! A movie like this wouldend need an annoying faggot waltdisney promoting voice WTF is wrong with the world ?

  • This is gonna sound weird, It's because of this movie that I became a hayao miyazaki fan. and yet I have never seen it, strange huh?

  • 1 person is pissed they can't fly.

  • lol every time I watched this as a kid I got really depressed that i couldn't fly XD

  • I loved this movie when I was younger

  • my favorite FUCKING MOVIE EVER!!

  • 0:54 "Here we go! WHEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!" LOL

  • HERE WE GO! WHEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!! LoL!

  • i cant believe kirsten dunst, grew up sooo quick! :O to play kiki, then play spiderman's girlfriend! :O

    ps. i loove miyazaki's awesome films! :D

  • @KPOPPINDragon don't forget a certain vampire film....

  • Nice Trailer!
