They screwed up the fights with the secret bosses (Gouki and Gouken).

Almost always, for Gouki, you fought his shin mode as the secret boss and the balanced normal version is playable.

After all the work getting to Gouki in SF4, I beat him easy and though "that's it?" I was hoping he would get up and mumble "waga ken no shin no something" like in SF3-2 and kick the crap out of me.

Gouken is basically Sheng Long: A fake character who could be unlocked(not really) in a certain version of SF II. EGM made him up for an April Fools joke one issue. He was basically a Ryu palette swap with white hair and a ponytail.

umm sorry,but this is incorrect friend,if at all possible please consult the guide that came with both Street Fighter (not Street fighter1)and street fighter II there you will find that it indeed states in both that Xheng Long (correct spelling,not Sheng or Shing Long) was the MASTER.This Gouken only shows up in the game that was on the NES titled Street Fighter 2010 as a teacher for Ken the only star of that game.Yes Capcom made a boo-boo and did a Mortal Kombat story line flop out..

do arcade mode with everyone, unlock akuma, you gotta get, one perfect, 2 ultra combo finishers, so fight 1 - perfect, fight 2 - ultra combo finisher, fight 3 - ultra combo finisher, after this do not do anymore finishers, just beat them normal, and gouken should definetly come out. after you beat seth, and oh btw, dont die/use continues,

Actually, He didn't start it, His master,Goutetsu, did and trained Akuma and Gouken(He's Akuma's brother btw), but then turned the form of fighting he was being taught into self defense styles, but Akuma on the other hand wanted to master it, which required mastering the Dark Hadou of it or "Killing Intent", but Gouken didnt want to learn it, so he made his own variation of it turning it into self defense as i previous stated, Not trying to be mean or anything, just wanted to point it out.
