  • hey again, yeah iv pin it down to internal rotation hurts a fair bit. and exturnal dont hurt at all, anything i can do to help this? thanks

  • hello Can someone help me please, i have groin pain after a sports injury, but none of these hurt my groin. however when i place the ball on my ankles and squeeze it hurts my groin area. what could this be and how can i help fix it to get back in shape. thanks.

  • @xsjad0man Forces are greater when applied at the ankles and the hip is not flexed. Can still be a groin strain. what are you currently doing to fix it? Are you resting or exercising? What makes it worse? How sore does it get?

Have you had any treatment or assessment?

    Let me know please.

  • @diyinjuryrehab thanks for your reply, been having physio once a week but he said there is no improvment so has put me on for a xray. (im waiting for) im currently doing alot of stretches and muscle building exercises. the last week iv been rollerblading again and know my limit. i find it odd how my groin hurts more when i push my leg in, rather than stretche it out... i just hope i dont need surgery.

  • @xsjad0man OK if you check out your Hip Abductors - the opposite group to see if they are working properly. This is often missed and weakness here on the same OR opposite side can cause groin pain. I have just posted a test for "hip hitch" Search my videos and try this on both sides and let me know if there is any difference.

  • @diyinjuryrehab hello just tried this and yes i feel a difference mainly in the groin area. and a wee bit around the hip. (I did hurt my thigh pretty bad with a big bruise and now remains a lump, then i did the groin a few weeks after that one) maybe i should do a video on my groin pain? so you get an idea what im talking about? thanks again.

  • @xsjad0man Hi sorry but what I meant by is there a difference was was it more difficult to do on one side? Was one side weaker than the other? Can you do the hiphitch on both sides correctly?

  • @diyinjuryrehab oh sorry yeah it seems to work fine both ways other than what i just said. im starting to think maybe i have a fracture.

  • @diyinjuryrehab. Yes it still does. that was the first thing my physio did when i pulled it.

  • @xSzRedemptiion ok so that means there is something affecting the muscle. Did it come on suddenly - eg sharp pain when running? Or did it start as an ache and get worse?

2nd question: are you doing any stretching now?

3rd question: are you doing gentle strengthening ex at present?

  • @diyinjuryrehab Yh when ever i burst off sprinting, (I play wing). And as i haven't trained for a month it slowly starts throbing as the day goes on as i use it for walking.

Yh i stretch it every morning and do the squeeze with a rugby ball in my room for about 15min.

  • I have had my current strain for over a month so far and i have had physio with my rugby club and it hasn't go better. (Haven't done any hard training for a month) and the physio dosen't know whats wrong with it.

    And clues?

  • @xSzRedemptiion firstly does this Adductor Squeeze Test cause you any pain?

  • I had Good hip mobility, Good flexibility, and had done all my rehab work properly.

we had done a few tests, and it turns out that i have weak abductors making my knee bend or "wobble" and its putting strain into the injury. Any advise or anything that will make my recovery faster?! THANKS!

  • @SuperFlyMatt1 Sorry for taking so long to reply. Getting hip and knee control is critical. Your physio should have given you ex like the "clamshell" to do. I have a version of it in these videos. you then add resistance and do it in standing using resitance band in various degrees of knee bend while standing on one leg.

  • I had a groin pain 10 months ago, witch i trained though for 2 months, eventfully i went to see my physiotherapist, i was diagnosed osteitis pubis, 4 months later the pain had completely gone, although i was still a bit stiff and tight. i went back into training .. to early, and another pain had raised, back the physio, i was diagnosed with adductor tendinitis ...4 months of rehab and the pain is nearly gone. but, it wasn't improving..physio said he didnt understand, why the pain wasnt gone
