Have you ever heard "Look On" by John Frusciante (from one of his solo albums, not RHCP).

If not, type in "Look On John Frusciante" on youtube, click the video with "05" in the title (some of the others have the pitch changed) and skip to 2:14 (solo starts at 2:42, but you want some lead-in).

I almost cried the first time I heard Look On's solo. That's how amazing it is.
