Later on in the manga, it's stated that both twins like her, but Kaoru realizes that he doesn't love her as much as Hikaru and so he gives up on her so that Hikaru can chase after her. There's no proof that Kaoru is gay, not that I remember. The whole 'twins love' thing doesn't count since that's just an act.
