Any reason why you didn't decide to test it as soon as you dropped it? Why cut the vid to "put the xbox back together" before reconnecting and testing the result Though I agree that hitting the device may appear to fix it (as it does with old TVs), you probably just reset something which will return again probably even worst than the initial issue. Microsoft covers this issue for up to 3 years.

Xrayder, if you take of the x clamps and look at the center, their is a little notch that is higher thein the rest of the clamp, if you cut a pieace of an itunes gift card or something like that, thein add it to the little notch works well by evening the pressure on both sides of the motherboard.

all that happened when he dropped the 360 was that the heatsink gpu got closer to the motherboard and resolved the problem. However this will only work for a short time u need to actually fix the motherboard x clamps by removing them and replacing them with screws and washers for a tighter fit onto the motherboard generating better heat fixing he red light problem.

TRUST THEM. I freakin did LIGHT LIGHT smacks on my 360 and it SUDDENLY WORKED. Believe me or not. Just smack your 360 on any kind of solid object, ONLY TWO light hits to it. It MAY work.
