@GTRedBullX2011 there was a dumpster truck next to where he fell so he landed softly in that and watson couldn't see the spot where he hit the ground from where he was standing (hence why Sherlock told him to stay exactly where he was), either his body could have been switched with Moriarty's as he fell or while John was hit by the bike he had time to get onto the pavement and appear dead (perhaps using blood from Moriarty's body to add to the effect...

@maddoo001 let me rephrase that. There are too many possible tones in 12 worded sentence for there to be a tone. I guess really it depends on the context of which you read a comment which decides a sort of metal tone of the comment. To be honest with you, there was no tone with the comment it was just a simple statement, well imperative, you chose to read it as a negative.

@GTRedBullX2011 Remember the kidnapped girl screamed when she saw Sherlock's face, well Sherlock could have figured out that Moriarty found his doppelganger & put him to use scaring the shit out of the girl. So my theory is that Sherlock tracked down the doppelganger, killed him & hid him @ 221B, then pushed that body off the roof. Don't forget what the housekeeper said to Watson on the way to the graveyard. She didn't say "body parts in the fridge", she said "bodies". Just my theory.

I think he wore a realistic sherlock mask, which sherlock put on moriartys body and threw off the building. Molly used connections inside the hospital to get the staff to agree to play along with the ruse of it being sherlocks body. The guy who knocked into John on the bike was part of the homeless network, and also gave John a little spray of the drug from the baskervilles episode, so when he got to the body with the mask he percieved it as being sherlock.

I was thinking of a different book by another author who had Moriarty survive but Sir ACD did kill off Moriarty originally with Sherlock as that was going to be his last book but due to public pressure and money troubles he brought Sherlock back. But he got Sherlock to say that he saw Moriarty strike the cliff face before he hit the water. Then again before Sir ACD's death he wrote another book called "The Lost Special" which...
