@boyjohn This sent me racing to your Hollyridge version (btw: both from 1966!) to compare the two. This by the Elgarts is bloody audacious !!! 3 of my 700 playlists are for Hollyridge Strings, Les & Larry Elgart, & Stu Phillips. Stu's more symphonic Hollyridge version also throws a bossa nova beat into this originally dour song. Stu uses a horn counterpoint to the lush strings carrying the melody & handing it off at times to a clavieta. Both are amazing! I wonder if Stu has anything to add. Stu?

I have been a fan of this band since the '50s.and have always wished more of their stuff would be out on CD.
