Hi, my canary is making clicking sounds and it's very low sound and he's quiet puffed up. Ive applied him Beaphar Anti-parasite spot on which is a drop that is for all the type of mites, parasites etc. he's now cleaning himself as he is annoyed by it, I've washed his whole cage including accessories. I just need to know what else I can do and how to get rid if it because I've warmed up my room and covered his cage with a white blanket. Any other advice please ? Thanks
Hi, i have a question. I have a canary who has the mites in her legs, but not that severe. Do i have to apply one drop on each thy or just one drop on a thy? also how many times a day? and for how long? Thank you for your time and please reply as soon as you can.
Only one drop is nessacary as the product is absorbed into the blood stream. Best to administer one single dose and follow up with a single repeat treatment in three weeks time.
is this a real bird you shake about in your hand all the time - a real bird in your pocket...? your advice is precious, and many thanks, but if this a real bird i cannot help but feeling sorry - surely the bird would have gone all dizzy.... the cut in the film implied however there are two different birds, and that it is only a real one when the close up appears...?
I just saw my Green parrot making clicking noise with its breath only when he run or fly... Is it air sac mite Help me soon this is the only symptom i saw in my parrot please replay ASAP
I noticed my female gouldian has its mouth open and is gasping for air. This is the only symptom Ive seen so far since I haven't seen a cough or change in sound when she peeps or sings. Can this be sac mites? I herd if you pick up the bird and hold it next to your ear you can hear the mites, her trouble breathing makes me want to try it. If she does have the mites and i treat her should i treat the male that is with her in the same cage even though he shows no sign he has it?
Yes, good chance this is Air Sac Mite. Need to seek vet for a script for the treatment. Both birds will require the treatment once and then a follow up in three weeks is best option.
I use the thigh as the hold needed to be able to apply to the drop to the back of the neck may cause the bird difficulty in breathing. Have had an odd instance of birds collapsing from this hold. Using the thigh eliminates the this risk.
The action of the drug is not altered - just needs to on the skin somewhere.

Unfortunately yes they can. If you suspect a problem, the best bet is to contact your local vet for a diagnosis.

Whats the difference between applying it on the back of the neck and the thigh?
