@lamecow21 there are areas which especialy visited by sharks. like around Australia. and areas where they are never seen or if they are seen they only gorw to about 1 meter in length and are not attacking people.. like around Denmark.
@CT2507 People shouldn't stop what they enjoy doing just because there are sharks in the water. If the area is a known hot spot for sharks, people can still kayak, they just need to take extra precautions. People swim near sharks all the time w/out knowing. You just need to be careful.

How many times did he fall in the ocean that day prior to and after the shark was around? oh, the shark was circling because if he figured if one was careless enough to fall in, more would follow? he told me at one stage they made a break for shore and the shark pretty much chased them, so they stopped and went back to the boat.

well I'm just saying it's the risk you take, it's no secret that sharks eat people. So the fear is not irrational at all infact it's probably more irrational to think there is no danger.

Sorry. I am all for conservation but fair dinkum.... those fish need to be culled like nasty roos. THe more we leave them to prosper, the more they tackle us in the ocean. They have brains the size of peas. Kill em all and lets keep the ocean safe. Sorry. But honestly, lets just fish them down a bit. They are so tasty with tartare....
