  • Hey Joe ! what chords are you playing ?

  • Beautiful! Just played my copy of the new album It's Only Natural and this was the first song I heard. It blew me away so much I immediately shared it with my husband (a Vietnam vet). Neither of us expected to be quite as moved by your touching lyrics and simple tune as we were. It just caught us off-guard. Thank you for speaking for so many and for those who have paid dearly for our freedom. We owe them all and must never forget how dear freedom is. It is definitely a special song.

  • I keep playing this one over and over in my car.

  • i saw this performed on larry's country diner last night....very moving to say the least !! great song..

  • On this day... this song is especially meaningful... It will appear on the new Cracker Barrel Oak Ridge Boys CD It's Only Natural on September 19th I am HONORED!!!!! God Bless America and those who HAVE Sacrificed!!!

  • We have all these talent shows on TV..American Idol, America's got Talent, and the list goes on and on..always trying to find something new and better...and then a man sits down, and writes a song...a song that is from his heart...a song that makes everyone that hears it think....and its not played by some huge band, but just the man, his instrument, his voice that has made us sing with joy and now shed a tear....That, my friends is TALENT, that is what makes Joe Bonsall special. Thanks Joe!

  • @GREGMCKEE My brother I am overwhelmed by this... thanks so much!! happy to report that the Oak Ridge Boys just recorded this song for a new project. Can't wait for you to hear it... It came out so well. very Honored!!

  • @GREGMCKEE hey joe, why does duane allen sing about god, when he does not believe in him?

  • God Bless you Joe for Reminding those, that the Sacrifice Hero's pay is a High one! I love the sound of the wind chimes in the Back ground... I remember many times (as a Service member) remembering that sound!

  • Thanks for this Joe - the purity of the sound drew me in to the words - it wasn't until you had finished the song that I became aware of where I was again - thoughtful words.
