occupy l.a. has been congregated around the most concentrated center of police activity since it began. day and night, spent basically with the police.

the mayor orders an action, and extends pretty much anything goes legal authority intent on routing the protest. the police had the force, authority, coordination and control of the area, and the resources and capacity five times over to clear occupy l.a. entirely, and in half the time actually spent there. And they didn't.

the helicopter scheduling was in position by 11:30, no less than 11 over the scene at all times until after 6 a.m. considering the the resources allocated and the Mayoral authority handed down, the police were inversely restrained. their disposition and the outcome (not successful), reservation of tactics at their disposal, and with a better media black-out than any of the preceding "clean-ups" yet, already says volumes, and suggests more. or, maybe not. maybe it's humans vs. clones or troops
