And about the guitar brand...I can't say just one, there are several brands which are really good, and honestly, I'm not the ideal person to talk about this, 'cause I don't know much. You should go and ask at a music store or talk to someone with more experience.

@matt31602 get a gibson or an epiphone....i have a dean dimebbag they are alright and they look kool if u want to b in a band....it all depends on what type of music ur into....like if u want cheap u can pick up an american strat for like 200... LTD makes really good guitars check into it.... also a metal lover can always go with an ibanez they are pretty awesome too....

@matt31602 esp and ltd good brands they usually come equiped with emg humbuckers and jackson and pevery are also good deponds on the music if you want metallica sound or a hevay metal sound any guitar but has to have a seymour duncan or a emg stlye humbucker. Really to tell you the truth the best thing to do is buy a real expensive pedal board then you can make a guitar even a cheep 100 dollor sound like anything you want with electronics today
