  • Mitt Romneys an idiot.

  • manson has these beach bums sayin "im your kind of nazi" with some crazy word play open ur ears bitches

  • I also get a kick that the song-by-song liner notes to the 20/20 album reissue sort of just quickly gloss over this song, mentioning Dennis sings it and that it had some orchestration on it. They forget to mention that big elephant sitting in the corner.

  • I always got a kick out of the story of total alpha male Dennis Wilson beating the everloving shit out of Charlie right in front of the Family after Charlie decided to talk shit and make a veiled threat at Dennis's family. Apparently he pounced Charlie once the threat was made and beat him to a pulp until Chuck crawled away into a corner.

  • If you get the chance, check out the documentary "The Six Degrees of Helter Skelter". They talk about this situation.

  • I rather like the original version. Mr Manson's "Cease to Exist" is more impresive, more mystical. The Beach Boy version is just another pop song. They've candy up Charlie's amazing music to sell it to all the kids in America.

  • It does not Matter what Dennis Wilson said this is not his song, it Charlies Manson wrote it .

  • @MrJerryw08 Its a bit different from the Manson version!

  • this song was stolen from charles manson and Surfin' U.S.A. was stolen from the song Sweet Little Sixteen by Chuck Berry, but ask yourself, does it really matter? The Beach Boys were incredible musicians and made hundreds of originals that are incredible. I love the Beach Boys, they rock

  • This song resulted in the deaths of nine (9) people. Enjoy.

  • @faffaflunkie Give or take.

  • awesome, much better then the live version

  • fuck manson nobody wants to realize that dennis wilson is amazing and charles manson is a sub human, so there. he just liked the song and wasnt going to give manson credit , i really dont give a shit, if it was his only song maybe but the beach boys and dennis alone have more , just more

  • Manson could write a good song to be fair! "Look at your game girls" good the guns and roses version is much better though!

  • The beach boys could have sung bannanas bannanas a pound for a pound and it would have sounded shit hot to be fair!

  • he didnt rip off manson's song, manson's song sucked and he knew it so he gave the lyrics to them to make the song bigger

  • @shoes57356345

no...when asked Dennis Wilson said "well, Charlie took so much from us, so..."

take that for what it's worth, despite your view of Charles.

  • @ChinoRdrgz so youre saying that charlie took it from them? idiot, it was the other way around, so that is either misquoted or a quote pertaining to something entirely different.

  • @shoes57356345 Yeah the beach Gays stole it... Therese a difference

  • @RestLessIP

fuck you , the beach boys aren't gay but you are since you have no taste. Faggot little kid get a life

  • @RetroAndrew Did I sat their music sucks ? No I didn't so why you opening your big mouth on youtube you moron ?

  • @RestLessIP

Yes you did you called them gay which means you dislike them faggot.

  • @RetroAndrew Actually it doesn't, Ne-Yo is gay, i like his music... So it's not true what your saying. And you say I have bad taste which means you think I dont like their music becasue you do...

  • @RestLessIP

What? You said gay as in "stupid" not gay as in "likes men" The Beach Boys are married to girls but two members of the band died. I like it how you automatically judge people and say they're gay. Oh and by the way Ne-Yo isn't gay as it was a rumor made by people.

  • @RestLessIP

LOL!!! I never said you said their music suck , I said you called them gay dumbass!! Your an idiot

  • @RestLessIP The beach Gays? They didn't steal shit, and even if they did who gives a fuck, who is in history for being one of the greatest bands of all time right now? And who is in history for being a psychopathic fuck?

  • @TheAmazingstarman They did, I didnt say I give a crap but they dont deserve al the credit

  • Dennis Wilson was a genius

  • yeah, it takes a genius to rip off a song

  • @molecularash

I meant - apart from ripping off Manson's song, which he definitely did.

  • i like the original better

  • Fuck Manson and anything that reminds me of him. But I will say this; according to Bugiosi's book, he was legally railroaded. Morally, he's where he belongs. Fucked up childhood notwithstanding, he is a criminal. What's with all this Manson fanbase? I mean, really? And all this sympathy for the devil? And, Manson was NOT a hippie. He was a con without a clue.

  • They somehow made this sound way more creepy than anything Manson ever wrote.

  • As much as I hate to admit it, Charles Manson was a great songwriter. "Your Home Is Where Your Happy" is a great tune too.

  • You're in good company. Listen to the awe and admiration Neil Young had for Manson's improvisation at song writing.

  • Dennis Wilson only recorded this crap because he owed Manson for all the 12 year old girls Charlie was providing. He didn't even bother warming up his voice.

  • how the f do you know he didnt warm up his voice? Sounds pretty good to me, you little worm. This song is righteous, keep listening. It will make more sense after the 10th time or so.

  • dennis once said charlie didn't want credit...he/manson wanted cash and that charlie had stolen enough cash from him over the years.

  • @johnrunion he stole his gold records cut up his clothes crashed his ferrari into a wall

  • @spacepatrolman No, CLEM GROGAN AND PAUL WATKINS crashed his Ferrari. Even Paul Watkins said that was true. Grogan even said that he crashed it. It slid off the road and down an embankment, not a wall. It was not totaled, but Clem and Paul hitched back to Dennis' house and got Manson. When they went back the car was gone- stolen. Funny that Paul also said Dennis Wilson disassociated himself with his belongings (which was typical for hippie types in those days) and did not want his possessions.

  • @johnrunion Gregg Jakobson said that Manson did want credit, he also wanted money. He said he can have the song as long as it was arranged the same way as he arranged it. However, he wanted money for it as well as royalties. It was pretty weak how Dennis recorded the song and claimed to be the writer thinking he would never be found out. of course when confronted he said that Manson owed him. Okay, that explains why he did not pay Manson royalties. So, why did he plagiarize it?

  • @johnrunion That's just...blatantly untrue.

  • CREEEEEPY!!!!

  • This song has an interesting history.

  • Agree xD

  • @qasl1234 And bloody.

  • they made this song their own

    Manson's is much different

I like this version much much more than Manson's

  • Knowing who originally created this song, it gives the song a whole new meaning, like, wow.

  • I like how the Beach Boys didn't even *try* to make this song not creepy. :-P

  • How is this creepy?? It just sounds like another Beach Boys song to me. I think ya'all are caught in the association and connotation of it being a Manson tune. Manson was just a charismatic hippie musician before he became demonized.

  • Well yeah, it's the fact that Charles Manson wrote it... and the whole "Cease To Exist" thing.

  • Manson was demonized, dramatized and sensationalized by the media. He was just one man, that got out of prison...found some crazy women, and these kids killed nine people. The reason why he was blamed for the crimes, is because he was the eldest one out of them, and had a criminal rep sheet.

Its more than possible[actually more than likely] they did it and not him.

Other than that, this is a good tune.lol.

  • @NyeTunes ha ha, agree

another song posted on tube (Your Home is where You re happy) by a czech band (called Hookers) in memory for Rozz Williams

  • linda cancion..la verdad que cambia la imagen que tenia de ellos..me gustó

  • nice

  • muy buena.

  • Manson sucked. His tunes were mediocre, and his lyrics were annoying. The guy sang about eating garbage.

  • Didn't keep the Beach Boys from covering and rearranging his song.

  • @surfingthechaos Way to completely miss the point.

  • @idiedidied Why thank you.

  • I agree

  • Great audio. Thanks for posting.
