I have been fortunate to see and hear Mike in ' a day on green", in Adelaide this month and it was an AWESOME experience, but than it could not be any other way, when someone like Mike is performing. Saw Simply Red in Ottawa, Canada in '87..Great show, top voice! Couple of months later bumped into his then keyboardist fritz in A1 music Manchester..Wot an asshole! I knew the original drummer Chris Joyce from wen SR were just about to break..Lovely guy, met him a few times since, always a nice guy..If you live in Manchester & you happen to be a muzo' it's a fabulous place for contacts, drugs, guns, etc!..(JOKE!)..Rock on Red!

I am American and I absolutely agree with you . I remember Simply Red in the mid-to late 80s and was completely floored by his voice. Check out his latest diddy called Sunrise with a very twice is nice background mix by Hall and Oates. I cant wait to hear a club mix of that.

Great! An American that knows Mick! My son is actually musicboy1133, i posted under his name. He is 13 and in a band and I believe it's because he was singing Micks stuff since he was 2. We have every Simply Red CD on the planet...I think. Sunrise came out years ago I have the CD...I only hear it in the mall and stuff...I live in Baltimore. No longer hear it on the radio. Check out the club mix on you tube, I'm sure I've seen it!
