  • rip off bcause its the same

  • They don't even sound the same, you jackasses. Learn about music for once, and maybe you'd learn there is only so many songs that can be sung before they repeat.

  • @zoxEmoRoXasxoz Are you shiting us? They have almost NO difference you jackass...OMG!

  • @deathbringer16 That's... what I said. "They don't even sound the same, you jackasses", is an exact quote from my comment.

You should learn to read before insulting people. Then maybe you'll sound a wee bit more intelligent.

  • @zoxEmoRoXasxoz I am afraid YOU are not intelligent enough dude. I said there is no difference and you say that they don't even sound the same. So either learn better english or learn to read correctly.

  • @deathbringer16 I have to explain this whole thing, don't I? -sigh-

Go back to my first comment. I said, "They don't even sound the same, you jackasses". And you replied, "Are you shiting us? They have almost NO difference you jackass...OMG!", meaning you were calling me a jackass even though we thought the same thing. 'No difference' and 'the same' means the exact same thing.

If you still don't understand after that explanation... there is no hope.

  • @zoxEmoRoXasxoz Listen. You said they don't sound the same, meaning that both songs have no similarities whatsover. On the other hand, I tell you they have almost no difference, meaning that they sound so similar that it is obvious coldplay stole the rythm from satriani. I believe I cleared that out. If you think that "the same" and "no difference" are the exact sama thing consider revising their definitions.

  • @deathbringer16 Oh my goodness... It was me who was wrong the whole time. FFKLKSDFJLKFJ Haha, at least I can admit it when my brain finally sorts things out. I was thinking of 'no similarity', holy crap, my mind has been backwards this whole time.

Hehe, sorry man, but I hope you at least had a good laugh over my stupidity.

But yeah, it still could have been a coincidence. I don't really care either way, I don't like Coldplay that much. I just wanted to stir up some shit.

  • @zoxEmoRoXasxoz It's ok. I must apologise for calling you jackass, I was in a very bad mood. And saying that viva la vida was not stolen from satriani blurred me lol. :) It was fun all this talk for defining words and I liked. Let's do it again sometime lol. :P

  • @deathbringer16 Haha, it's perfectly fine, for I was acting like a total jackass. Plus, it's the internet :P Words don't mean a thing to me.

Sounds good ^-^ I 've also had a great time.

  • Anybody who says Joe Satriani is greedy or anything of the sort doesn't know what the fuck they're talking about. Satriani wrote "If I Could Fly" as a tribute to his wife, you'd be pissed off if somebody took it and said they wrote it, too.

Satriani's one of the best guitarists in history and has been making groundbreaking music longer than many of you have been alive. Coldplay would be lucky to have half as much talent in their hold band as Joe Satriani does reflecting off of his head.

  • they made the song way better? and i mean does joe s really need any more money? what a little greedy bastard, an annoying riff that was made into a beautiful song is good....he should be thanking coldplay. i could listen to viva la vida 20 times without getting bored, but if "i could fly" went on my ipod i would just shuffle to the next song. and im the guy who actually loves rock and roll. joe s isnt rock and roll

  • joe crappyani can get over it. and grow some hair.

  • Honestly people? What are Joe Satriani and Coldplay both fantastic at? Making chord progressions that are catchy and phenomenal. Eventually, these chords were going to have to resurface in another great song. They are too memorable to leave alone, hence the outrageous popularity of Viva la Vida. Even if they did receive inspiration from it, Coldplay knows to ask permission. Its happened before.

  • Yes Coldplay ripped it...the end.fact.

  • I hear a small resembelence but they did there whole thing on it, and its definetly not sueable material.

  • Well coldplay has a history of stealing other artists songs so, there ya go if you wanna use similar cords from a song ask permission.

  • Coldplay simply based their song off of these chords by Joe Satriani. It's like their inspiration for the song.

  • Duh!! They did. The question is did they know and thought they could get away with it or was it purely inspirational? I am on Joe side of the field.

  • I think you have too much time on your hands, dude.

  • o they deffinatly did but matt u hav the worst printing lol ~AllyG~
