  • Both top comments here are truly embarrassing to read. The sensei in the video is simply showing footwork, that is all. Yet we have people commenting saying how they and their dojo can beat these guys up and how these videos are amatearish in comparison to Japanese standards. Do you guys not see how childish and pathetic such comments are? The sensei is just showing footwork, nothing else. Really shameful to see so called kyokushin students talk this way, but then again, this is youtube.

  • Kyokushin, Muay Thai, Shotokan, Boxing, Savate, Sanshou, Wing-Chun, Taekwondo etc etc..it doesn't matter..as Bruce Lee always said..''Styles do no make fighters, fighters make fighters''

  • @Dungarth but kyokushin gives the fighter an advantage. :P

  • wans't the guy on the left using boxing stance ?

  • Advanced !!!!

    how is that?

this was like abc technique in sanda

  • footwork is the most usefull technique in martal arts

  • This is more Ashihara technique. Good stuff.

  • the way he blocks against leg kick - this is the best technique how to get your head kicked :)

PS never believe he is the first dan

  • We call that basically GETTING OFF THE LINE

  • @hammondb333

    we basically call this BS

    :)

  • not to be rude but how is this "advanced" or "expert"? how is there "advanced footwork" as well? i dont see anything "advanced" or "expert" these techniques are similar to ones they teach shotokan in beginner groups (10-8th kyus).

  • what funny ears

  • EASY

  • this isnt advanced ive trained kyokushin for many years and this was some of the first ive learned so i would call it basic kyokushin :)

  • very basic application

  • there'd be two strips on that belt..

  • made for americans

  • @quantum0050 shut up about that "made for americans" crap. it's made for people that don't know the difference and would be willing to shell out money for that form of "kyokushin"... not all Americans are idiots that follow any martial arts video we see online...

  • Furiko uchi uke but in bad form, LOL

  • does advanced not mean what it used to mean anymore? it's been a few months since i was in an english speaking country...

  • really advanced techniques I must say. And those kicks dude..

  • Ashihara karate is the way forward! Osu

  • Waste of time. Only someone who has never practiced any karate or almost any martial art can get something out of this..and even that would propably end up wrong technique.

  • I'm training with a Kyokushin kumite champ tonight, He's an expert!

  • @jrod8496 Cool!!....how was your training session?!?!? :)

  • @eulero75 tough. but worth it.

  • what the fuck is wrong with you these vidios help those like me who cant aford to go to lessons so go fuck yourself

  • if this is advanced kyokushin, then wtf are beginner techniques? please teach me owh might sensei advanced kyokushin :P

give me a break, even a white belt can kick these people's asses

  • Advanced?

  • people dont fight like that. Orchestrated. Blahhhh

  • I learned this in like first year ju-jutsu, way to go =/

  • useless tutorial unless you're fighting

  • @milnusthegnome That's my we train Kyokushin...in case we need to fight...lol

  • @H0useMouse RIGHTIO DAD

  • @milnusthegnome That's MOM to you. If you're going to be smart, at least do it right :D

  • @H0useMouse RIGHTIO MOM

  • @milnusthegnome Much better. Now go to your room >:(

  • @H0useMouse stfu and die

  • @milnusthegnome Do you kiss your loved ones with that mouth?

  • @H0useMouse I kiss myself everyday because I AM SEXY

  • japanese r th best in karate

  • @goodbyeman2 well debatable, the russians are also quite good

  • @milnusthegnome though I 'm pakistani but I can't stop myself saying the truth that the thing which emerged from a place can't better be learnt from any other place. In the same way 1 can't study MA English from Japan better than from USA or UK.

  • @goodbyeman2 Every Martial Art has a weakness

  • I would love to punch this guy on the jaw.

  • sucks

  • I want to see that in sparring .

  • Looks alot like Ashihara to me, but what would I know?

  • i prefer to step back when my opponent do a front kick to me... because if I block, i am open for a combo and my hand hurt if I block.....

  • According to this guy website he's a 4th degree blackbelt -___-

sure and then let me represent myself. Im the king of atlantis nice to meet u :)

First of all this guy doesnt know anything about kyokushin karate. We use japanese terminology and not english. 2nd i've seen kyu degree belts (orange till brown) doing it better then him.

3rd, i've been reading all the official major kyokushin organizations websites. From IKO,WKO,Royama and so on.This Tony Capraro isnt on any of them. SO NO KYOKUSHIN!!

  • Wth? This is not advanced techniques, this is more like common sense. Expertvillage is really lame.

  • The Ryu Sui technique works better.

  • Is this advanced? I don´t think so.

  • its ok but its not expert

  • I don't see this as advanced tai sabaki; he seems to be stepping too far away from the attack and there is little hip movement. I believe some arts such as traditional karate or ju jutsu are not suited for MMA due to the difference in application. In MMA, both competitors have agreed to fight. In self defense, one side does not typically wish to fight which changes the mentality.

  • then GSP and machida became world champions lol.

  • True. Machida is one of my favorite fighters, but he practices tai sabaki differently than seen here. There are some of his training videos on youtube. Both of those fighters have extensive training in diverse martial arts such as Western and Thai boxing.

  • every video that is 'bought to you by expert village' is definately not expert, more amateur imo... they should stop making these videos, and as for the MMA argument some of the best fighters were and still are Kyokushin practitioners! I would imagine that Kyokushin in Japan would be very embaresed by poor videos like this that jus don't show what true kyokushin karate is all about!

  • @Kizenkai Or even better, learn Wing Chun

  • @Kingjay144 personally wing chun doesn't do it for me lol, it is a good art, but i myself study shito-ryu karate...

  • @Kizenkai I havent seen them recently, but if memory serves correctly, the TKD guy is actually good. Otherwise I agree. And the only problem I have with Kyokushin fighters is most seem to have a glass jaw since they simply dont take punches to the head. I've seen plenty get dropped from not so great punches. Other than that they are tanks...Ive never seen 300lb guys able to axe kick instantly like in kyokushin fighters, and that was in real life too.

  • @Kizenkai Being a kyokushin practitioner means nothing about your fighting skill. There is no superior style, just superior people.

  • @thecrazyoftheinsane that's true, and i agree there is no superior style, i myself study shito-ryu which is traditional okinawan karate (not superior), but different in many ways to japanese karate...

  • @Kizenkai This guys a joker true that.

  • @Kizenkai I can`t believe that this guy have black belt.. WTF?!?! I train Kyokushin in Bulgaria only from 2 years and I am 100% sure that I can beat them in a row...Look at this gym,me and my friends can train only 2 days in the gym,in the other days we train at the stadion on the grass..And we are 123123 times better than this guys, they have 0 technique... sorry for my english

  • @Kizenkai im not saying this video is great but if u dont like it dont watch it not being rude but im tired of people knowing what it is and still clicking on it an complaining (but of course its okay for me to do it)lol

  • not really advanced... xD but, why not at least show a counter attack =P

  • he even messes up at 58 seconds and thats in slow punching haha

  • its easy to block a punch and kick if you know they are coming, i understand that he is showing a technique but really its not that easy to block a punch just ask cotto, de la hoya, and ricky hatton after fighting manny pac man.

  • oh come on, let`s start with this - in a real street fight there isn`t usualy 1 on 1 but like 3-5 on 1 so any ground techniques are useless cause while you wrestle with one dude on the ground his buddies will beat your skull to the ground. and in those cases usually when you get to the ground it really doesn`t matter if you can fight on the ground or not. the trick is not to get yourself brought to the ground. i`ve seen this happen many times on the street.

  • who is talking about street fights i siad fights as in mma fights. wrestling is the number 1 foundation you need to have. hence why kimbo is not a good mma fighter till he learns some ju jitsu or wrestling. why do every mma fighter need one of these cause fights end up on the ground thats why

  • karate isn`t a "sport" like MMA is, it wasn`t "designed" for cage fighting. that`s one of the reasons why you don`t see many karate, TKD or judo adepts going to Pride or UFC. so in this category you are right, wrestling and ground techniques are pretty good at cage fighting.

  • Never seen a yellow belt like that before, obviously bullshit.

Giving Kyokushin a bad name and should be taken down.

  • what kind of crazy belt is his assistent wearing? :S

yellow belt with black stripe in between?

this is clearly Mcdojo. I bet they promise you to get blackbelt in 10days. NOthing advanced about his karate. Footwork is basics

  • advance technique...SURE

  • I don't know if I would call these "Advanced techniques". Most of this stuff I learned when I was a white belt or orange belt. Respect anyway. Osu

  • hmmmm silat? I think the never proven, self proclaim Prof Dr Grandmaster Philbin Tan..38yrs old also in the same boat ? hahahahaha Sang Moo Do ! hahahaha... what is sang moo do?? hmmm many kids advance technique too

  • LOOk @ 0:43 the sensai leaves his left leg open for the yellow belt to short kick his hamstring. If you want to see REAL advanced foot work look up different Silat styles.

  • Karate is gay i just proved you wrong!!! wrestlers only need to know one fighting style all those guys about know mma mixed martial arts wrestlers can go in there with one style and own them. BROCK LESNAR!!! Go back to the days with no rules, wrestlers and ju jitsu took over cage fighting, wait they still own cage fighting. Oh no dont kick me. Fucking gay. kicks haha. This aint soccer its fighting bitches

  • brock lesner had to learn some other stuff first...remember how he got tapped out?

The only reason grapplers did so well at first was because no one knew their moves. Now that everyone trains in some groundfighting, pure grapplers do not win anymore.

  • and what if you get a punch to your liver before you can take a guy to the ground? most of kyokushinkai hits are given to vital points of the body, one hit like that and trust me, you wouldn`t be able to do shit anymore.

  • thats a big if man. I can say what if i take you down which i will your weapons are useless. Dont get me wrong, there is nothing wrong with learning this but 96 percent of fights end up on the ground sooner or later

  • oh KUNG LEE lol

  • GAY you couldnt stop my shot i have a sick double leg this shit wont work in mma. Il take you down and your weapons will be pointless.

  • your retarded he isn't using any weapons and people who do Kyokushin do other stuff to. This is for striking and people who know how to use it get far check Lyoto machida

  • im talking about his kicks and legs your idiot. His weapons!!! like boxing his hands are his weapons. Machida almost tapped out against TITO please let him fight a real fighter. Lightheavy weight division is weak. Wait till he fights bador the wrestler from ultimate fighter. And okay one guy is succesful from karate in mma wow!!!

  • lmao, your a douchebag kid.

  • ... A fake entry...

  • I agree this is useful but its not really advance its pretty basic.

  • just wanted to see the sport but laughed when i saw the guy saying he could kick everyones ass screen name is fearof war lol

  • Bullshit!

  • It's evasion footwork... Mostly sidestepping to the left & right cause most fighters only know one way to come at you. But it's not advanced footwork, it's all basic but for some reason he called it advanced.

  • I agree, this is basic footwork, and at one point he blocks her blocking hand instead of her striking hand, because he can't react. His theory is flawed too -- experienced fighters don't reach for a block once they are out of the way, especially hand to shin. A good way to get hurt. You step outside and counterstrike, if anything. If this style is so good, try it in the UFC and put it to the test, Mr. FearofWar, below.

  • I love your modesty you should be a model for all the young kids who are inspired to start karate

  • what did FearOfWar said??

  • He was talking how great he was and how he could beat these guys up . . . you know the common internet bully who need to dispatch their testosterone that they built up sitting in front of their computer hating others who are hurting their ego . . .

  • crap! no variety of footwork an unflexible and predictable fighter makes..-load of crap for the dump..!

  • lol, ya, simple footwork, I'm at yellow belt in shotokan right now and that's basically all we do...maybe if he would of actually explained how it was done, it might have seemed a little more "advanced", but teh way he did it, easy.

  • it was just to show for practice, try having one of your buddies attack you full speed/ full power and try to stop it; then come say how easy it was when you have no time to think only react.

  • me and my wife did that, just that it was called samba

  • why is he putting his head too much upwards while talking to the camera? ^__^

  • The most important thing you can learn in any martial arts is footwork. You will be surprised how many fighters just stay in one place. If that is you than more than likely the biggest person wins.

If you cant get this right then your fancy kicks and punches are pointless.

  • It is Funny almost all of the expert village movies is a bullshit ...

  • hahahha that look like one step sparring where my 7yrs old 8th kyu is learning now...hmmmm why post it? Its a simple technique....hahaha

  • advaced i lernd that when i was10.kyu osu!

  • you kids are a bunch of complainers

  • Yeah,this is too simple.

    but I know that

    anytime,anywhere, thousands of times

they tumble or fall down to the ground

by teir own miss spin kicks

    this is suicide act.

you will be kicked your face in real fight.

It's TKD's black belt lebel standard.

    Right? HAHA

  • Dude that is BASIC TKD self defence white belt level..

  • he's not a very good teacher. he didn't explain anything. he just did it and said left hand right foot.

  • advanced kyokushin seems very much like basic ashihara

  • dude this is advanced! whats higly advanced getting to punch i though advanced footwork would be to move excessivly and take him down then kill him.

  • bull shit

  • osu

  • Im bujinkan ninjutsu, and some of your footwork is very similar, nice.

  • "Advanced Kyokushin Karate Techniques" you got to be fucking kidding me?

  • This is not footwork for Kyokushin Karate. This is BASIC footwork in any fighting style.

  • What's so advanced about evading the punch? I'm not knocking the style but what do they teach before this level in kyokushin.

  • pushups :D

  • lots of pushups

  • lots of two knuckle pushups and killer situps... :)

    osu!

  • the techniques, corresponding block techniques and a sense of timing and distance (maybe katas - i don't know for shure, i'm doing shotokan)

It's not as easy as it looks.

  • Canalhas Idiotas.

  • is sensei tony's head reali pointin upward or is it just me seein it wrong???

  • It's pointing upwards and killin' me. I hope the other guy is really good since he has a pony tail. Nothing against them but it is something to grasp in a fight while it is harder if you have Tony's haircut.

  • indeed, i used to have a ponytail but now it's 3 mm long, can't grab that.

  • this is as basic as u can get in any striking based martial art

  • "Avoid getting hit" is hardly an advanced technique. I think even an unexperienced karateka can figure that one out. Whats more, while you might be able to get out of harms way, and even control your opponent, it might be better to simply parry the attack and follow up with a counter.

Im no sensei, but unless you're trying to save your attacker, it hardly seems effective.

  • hahaha he said "Right hand" so the meatsack punches with his left :) ,.,.,.,.,.,.

  • I've been training in Aikido for over two years and these defenses look very similar!

The only major difference may be that in Aikido we would use all the energy of the attacker to take them to the ground, but whatever. Very nice!

  • Aikido is nice but the circular moves is not for me. Nothing wrong with that since everyone has to find a martial art that fits them.

    OSU!

  • Isn't that technique generally taught at white belt level?

  • Heck in Combat training the move is called "Stepping off line" and is as basic as you get.

  • Thats not advanced at all dude, Advanced is ripping the still beating heart out of your sensai while raping them anally in a dark room full of blood and emotion

  • Street fighting is nothing like this - There is no way these moves can be anticipated so quickly. With techology being so advanced I never seen a single video like this recorded or in UFC

  • Hah moves are never anticipated. If you watch a REAL fighter, one with decades of training, it seems like he can read his opponents mind. Somehow he is moving to block almost if not before his opponent is even attacking.

But that is experience showing it's benefit.

By knowing how a body works one can anticipate a punch not by the attack, but by the subtle weight shifts and hip and shoulder movements. A weight shift left right usually indicates a kick, front to back a punch etc.

  • Those techniques were very similar to traditional wing chun techniques, however, in wing chun they would not leave the blocking hand out there because it can be grabbed with a lap sau for example. In WC they allow the hand to meet their hand and it's deflected rather than blocked.

  • Karate is a crap technique...

  • the funny part is that people cant even do those simple steps. most of the idiots commenting cant even defend themselves.

  • No the funny part is that karate is crap...

  • you're so right. The same ppl you speak of should learn something like this to help keep their asses unkicked since their mouths are so quick to shoot off. lol

  • his ears hahahahahahahahaha

  • wow... did he say he was going to show us some 'advanced techniques?' you've got to be kidding me hahaha

  • l

    lol1

    l

  • wow, that guy's ears were like satellite dishes :) lol, it distracted me

  • hahaha... omg! that's so funny!

  • youve gotta be kidding me that was sooooo lame

  • its not so hard to learn that if someone punches you, you duck!!!

  • lol real good way to put it...

  • nice ones. muay thai still rocks tho.

  • the kyokushine block punches not like that way u know ..

  • This fair exercise education.

  • Wow

  • yo my man got some radars on the side of his head

  • My only issue is how many styles actually teach foot work. Honestly. Like karate seems kicks and punches and your starting stance. How many teach actual foot work, in the real world you have to count for the fact not everyone is going to come straight on, or one by one. I think that should be the formost with martial arts myself, what he displayed here didn't seem advanced but I've not taken this style. But for me, foot work has always been the top of the list along with blocking.

  • I would recommend the Israeli martial art Krav Maga. This is real world martial arts. u learn to fight in real environments, confined small places with limited mobility. Most martial arts are unrealistic. When have u had a fight in a ring on the street with padded floors. Most of my fights were the classrooms or night clubs or the sports field. Dont get e wrong i practice kyokushin my self. But im not going to ax kick someone in real fight.

  • Don't know about Israeli systems. I've been sticking with the East, Japanese, Korean, Chinese, but you aren't the first person who has said Israeli styles are more appliable. I may have to check it out. I need to make it clear, I don't condone Karate or the like. I think they teach what everyone needs to know: Good offense. But for me Self Defense is about defending first and offense last. Thus why I'm movement centered; I'm against movement being taught as advanced. Evading goes with blocking.

  • same here

  • i would reccomend a martial art called chugarkwon kung fu actually i think they have a youtube channel check it out its called chugarkwon

  • hes years is not nice

  • Zomg his apprentice is liek so hawt!! <333

  • ya its ok but not good for some one when you could throw a hook kick when you move
