  • Those barbs are awesome! I've a few myself, only a year old and 5inches already! Roll on some serious growth! lol

  • Very nice schwanenfeldii's

  • @cruznik025 petco and petsmart sells these so they are not so rare but in fact very common.

  • What do you feed them so they can get that big?

  • If the "Show Barbs" have the red and black tails I must be getting really good deals at my LFS then. Every tinfoil they sell have the red and black, and only cost between $4 for smaller ones and $15 for 4-6" ones.

  • HI! just last week I got 4 like this fish, but they are all juveniles about 3 or 4 inches, when I see your video I was amazed of this kind of barb cuz I never see this kind of barb in petco or petsmart, they are really beautiful! they live now in a 75 gallons tank with my 3 full grown tinfoil barb, they eat like crazy when I feed them.

  • could you PLEASE make a feeding video of them eating minnows because mine is still too small for it :/

  • Do Tinfoil Barbs slow down/calm down as they get bigger? I have one that is 5 inches in a 60g and he is crazy going in back and forth constantly.

  • Beautiful fish , at what age did they develop the red and black on their tail and dorsal fins? We have 3 they are 7 inches but as yet no red and black. We think they may be redtail tinfoil and max at about 8 inches, but we are not sure. Check out my videos, we would appreciate your opinion. Thanks!!

  • @gardnerk9 Only a certain variety have the stripes on their tails.

  • @gardnerk9 Hi, they were born that way. they are called SHOW BARB'S, They are very rare & expensive. They are valued at $ 500.00 ea. They are caught wild, not fish farm raised. They were 45.00 ea. at 2" long. very hard to find, Show Barbs have blood red tails with black. The dorsel fins are red/black with white tip. These are 15" long. Your fish are very nice, clean tank, nice!
