Me and my friend are at University -- we tried this recipe because the ingredients (mince, onion, mustard) were cheap, already-in-your-cupboard stand-bys, and it was absolutely delicious!! Cannot recommend this recipe highly enough -- so much tastier AND cheaper than buying a pack of burgers!!

whenever i tried this, my cheese melted completely and it was a big mess. i think i may have cooked the burger too long? but i didnt feel comfortable, the meat was so big and i felt like it wasnt going to be cooked all the way :/ when i took it out of the oven and checked, they werent cooked fully. i dont understand.

@tpoore100 The cheese should be completely melted, but should be sealed within the meat so shouldn't make a mess until you bite into it... Make sure there's nowhere for the cheese to escape!

@tpoore100 you could always make two thinner patties initially then use american cheese, place it in the middle of one pattie and place the other pattie on top then secure the sides. This way insures no cheese leakage and even cooking. :) hope this helped!
