To turn off the damage gauges, you have to unlock "More Rules" by getting 200 KO's. I was able to do it in a couple hours by selecting DK as my character, Pit for "player 2", and Onett (in Melee Stages) for the stage. Then I just use down + B on him as he continually respawns on the top awning, usually you get a 1-hit KO even though his damage is only like 8%. The only annoying part is that the awnings fall and repair themselves, so you have to keep getting up there again.

The thing of it is, even though it takes away the numbers, the names of the characters and their "emblems" still show up. I'm pretty much willing to deal with having that on my machinima video though, and with some shots I was able to "crop" it out.

Oh, forgot to mention something else; in rules, it helps if you set it to a Stock match and set your stock to 99 lives, that way you don't have to keep going in and out of the match, you can just rack them all up within a couple "matches".

My condolences to your father's situation, man. I hope he continues to do well over the years. Some people are diagnosed with cancer and still live many many years, so your father may be alive and well for quite some time. And it is awesome that he has survived this far. My father passed away when I was 7 due to an alcohol overdose, so it certainly is tough. I hope your life gets better dude because you certainly deserve a great life.

Okay dude, I'm going to tell you this right now since I run Cross Country at my highschool. RUNNING IS NEVER FUN! When I run, I feel like a wanna die. I know it's a little different since I'm 150Ib but it is not fun for anyone. The only reason people run is to stay in shape. Though!... Though afterwards when you're done and you see what you accomplished.. it boosts your self esteem. That's when it feels good. Know what you just did. While you're running, you feel like crap. I've thown up before.

Walking is a great way some in. Running or biking is too. Majority of the people I know who do good jobs of keeping fit for health's sake though aren't out in the street. They just use what they can at home.

And I agree, "exercise pain feels 'good'" is nuts. Energy can be good. Pain; not so much.

Timothy, there is a way to get rid of the damage gauge and more stuff without hacking:

All characters: Subspace emissary

damage gauge removal: When in the char select screen, go to the rules (click on 2 minute ko fest), go to more rules (if you unlocked it ;p), theb set Damage gauge to off.

And i want to voice act if you'd like :D

You know, you can unlock the characters pretty quickly with Subspace Emissary. Me and my friend unlocked all the characters in the game (I think) in about 1-2 hours. Though it's probably easier with a friend, since you can co-op. But if you check a guide you should be able to unlock the characters you want through Subspace Emissary pretty quickly.

the reason you see fit people with fast metabolisms running is because the reason their metabolism is so fast is because they are fit and they run. if you started running today in a year you would be fit but have to keep running to be fit. they arent rubbing it in your face they are just staying in shape. fast metabolism is caused by your activity level. if you sit all day you will gain 300 pounds. if you run all day you will wiegh 130 in a year or so.
