as much as i like this version, i don't care for how they replaced the junos with a nord lead synth....it thins out the sound too much and there's too much resonance on that patch..
Absolutely amazing live re-working of this classic song for a very passionate live performance. Love how the classic 80's synth groove meets the updated guitar riffs, and how this arrangement captures the raw passion of the lyrics so much and how Annie's expressions and hand movements convey the song's angst so powerfully. Awesome!

Respectful but definitely wrong approach live - 'Love Is a Stranger' is probably a lonely song which cannot be covered, not even re-arranged by the very duo that made it. The studio original sounds so unique it is sad to hear Annie desperately fighting for breath here...
I definitely am - nuts enough a Eurythmics fan to admit not everytime these two make perfect performance. As I said, this is respectful but useless. 'Stranger' is a synth-driven and very emotional song, sadly they never captured its essence live. They always improvise it with varying results.

Frak ME! This is awesome, even better than the "classic" (oh my, '80s are "classic"...) A real set of drums, a real guitar and yes - a real Sax!
I like the combination of a new wave hit with more down-to-earth instruments,
using the synth only as support, rather than the main orchestration.
