@whitessound most of the controllers are on custom collapsable stands made by flesher.. he worked at SUREFOOT in Keystone this past winter and made them out of old skis and ski boot buckles ;-)
What nobody plays an instrument? I can't get too excited about 3 guys moving their mouses around. Electronic music still needs a live element. check out Electroflux - look they play instruments too!
@keithnem I will admit most Electronic music does need a live element, but RPM uses a huge amount of midi controllers and pads too add the live element that is commonly lost. Once you see them once you'll get it
@keithnem well the difference between a live performance and a studio edit is the same wether its rock or electronic music. in "regular live shows" (rock, pop, country) the band will add slight changes such as changing pitches and playing extended guitar solos where as in electronic music you use an fx modulator to change the sound whether its a beatgrid or a loop. its the equivalent of a live band performing an extra chorus or guitar riff.
@keithnem hence the acp40 they had, the novation launchpad, the 2 drum pads, the midi keyboard and the fx controller that they had. you go for the experiance same as with any other kind of music. dont knock it before you try it =/
