  • simple and effective way to co-ordinate your body. Good thinking

  • Awesome i've been looking for some good boxing tips, thx for sharing it with us.

  • great tutorial buddy you are a great boxer!

  • Can you do a video regarding sitting down on punches. Also, do you train boxers, and where are you located? Thank you, respectfully

  • iLove This Video. Great Footwork Drill. Especially For A Beginner, Such As Myself.

  • let's keep it real he has foot works but no hands

  • this is just a drill. u dont actually fight like this.

  • okay yeah i fucks with this nigga.

  • dude, a razor needs to meet that body hair lol

  • @TheNightmareAssasin or perhaps you need to stop staring at men's chest hair like a woman or a homo and start focusing on the purpose for this video; the training.

  • @suckmeballsalot like a homo, says the guy whose name is suckmeballsalot

  • @TheNightmareAssasin OMFG my name has balls in in it. So fucking what. A name is a name. Just because your name is NightmareAssassin-own-all-iamthebest-iwin-iamabetterfighter doesn't mean your any better than a sloppy street fighter.

  • @suckmeballsalot but i am the best fighter to ever live?

  • @TheNightmareAssasin guessing by all your 0 videos about fighting, no. Your still a homo who cannot fight.

  • nice move

  • ill give him props because its hard as hell to punch hard and correct while moveing. if you dont beleive take a fight against a guy who dosnt stand in front of you and see how many hard shots you can land.

  • also in your opinion in all of boxing past and present who would you say has the most impressive footwork. i would love to watch some fights of that boxer just to see

  • thanks for the insight on footwork. i felt like i basically had footwork down without any training but after watching this i was all wrong. thanks alot for the tips.

  • Man these are very helpful they seem alittle hard though lols

  • Yeah we used to do the same thing in warm ups in boxing good vid

  • nice videos

    heaps of good stuff

  • Very Gud. Nice footwork mate.

  • Great video and nice footwork.....just wish you would have made the video a tad longer.

  • Comment removed

  • nice movement

  • This guy is an absolute spastic ! ! ! Ur kidding if u honestly think ur teaching gr8 technique. Ur hands were bent in when doing ur so called DRILL. and elbows were right out. Please wake up ppl on here. U guys have no clue how stupid u look !

  • we used to do drills like that in our boxing gym ....we also added uppercuts and would do burpees, squats, sit ups, and push ups in between

  • I bet you can do a good bruce forsythe impersonation

  • nice lesson mate... very detail... this is how a video should be able to deliver..

  • this guy is totally confused.

  • elbows way out cuz. Not good.

  • @purplestarxxx2002 I agree, while your man is clearly in shape, his elbows should be tucked in to cover the body. Fair play to him for working hard but his technique needs some working on.

  • this is just another faggit who wants to have his top off so he makes some shit exercise video

  • skilled

  • good one, thanks for the help

  • I cannot learn to jump rope. Goddammit!

  • @Zingam

Today I've done 90 min cardio but I can't do even 2 jumps with the rope! This sucks!

  • i am pro boxer from india, i am first indian boxer won the world cup bronze medalist, foot work s my favatote. i love to do foot work.

  • Good footwork man! Somehow, I have to get to that point.

  • i punch as i run and its a real killer

  • geez put a shirt on.

  • ty

  • i wanna see u fight boyka

  • when I was a child, my trainer had us do 20-30 push-ups on fists after each drill round and then immediately do that "throwing hands forward while jogging" at maximum speed for 20-30 secs to relax. it was CSCA' sports school in Russia.

  • dats muay thai and kickboxing footwork

  • lol...his intentions are good people but the demonstration is a lil off.. obviously in boxing footwork is important, and so is angles and head movement-- don't wann waste too much energy though runnin around the damn ring/cage for that matter... no wasted movement!

  • i have only 7 fights in ameture. im 16 and i been boxing since i was 12. the only thing that motivates me is my father he was a boxer and my grandphater

  • .....good bro...but I learnt cuban style boxing little difft....i but I agree that feet should be moving and hands at the same time very fast....but when i snap my jab i my left toe goes swift and fast with the jab and right cross as the total hip into it and hooks are like slamming the door hard....my two bits...:)

  • quality video

  • good drill. especially for beginners

  • best footwork drill ive been able to find on here

  • great video mate

  • I agree with rhodium- these videos are fantastic and much appreciated.

  • good useful vid

  • Thx for the vid, it helped clear up why our trainer at a Muay Thai gym had us do the same drill.

  • YOU'RE GOOD!!

  • awsome

  • thank you very mutch

  • so how do u step into the jab then..from the other utube video they showed step with left leg (lead leg) and punch with left.???? im confused

  • Wrestler for 15+ years, just started getting into boxing and I can say that having good hips and core is huge. And this footwork drill helps condition that.

  • i'll try that out and get back to you.

  • this is haaaard! thanks for the vid my footwork sucks :)

  • NIce man, thanks I'll try that.. Don't listed to the haters.

  • whoa that looks cool

  • get yer shirt on

  • @instantgravy great critique. i learned a lot from your counter argument! In fact, it was so informative in explaining the flaws in albert pope's drill and presenting a more efficient alternative that I'm now an actual fighter! thanks! you should be a trainer or something. i like the way you teach.

  • @instantgravy

    I have over 30 fights.

  • @albertpope The best comeback to any hater. If I can double vote up what you said, I would.

Great drill here, and great drills in your other vids.

  • @albertpope

    owned instantgravy lol

  • @albertpope nice warm up buddy perfect infact since when using opposite limbs of the body in conjunction you are stimulating both hemispheres of the brain to work together so not only are you warming up... your increasing your co ordination and overall mental function.... this instantgravy guy is cleary in need of some mental stimulation....too left brained..... all the best albert!

  • @albertpope good job mate...you move like you know what youre talking about...so many shit lessons on the internet..it makes me happy when I see someone doing the shadow boxing corecty and knows boxing not in theory but in practice in the gym..Keep it going!:))cheers

  • @albertpope loooool ignore idiots like those, we get plenty of them round youtube

  • @albertpope how many did you lose?!

  • @ramtinking I lost 3 split decisions; to Russia, Vietnam, and France. I've not been knocked down.

  • @albertpope can you tell me any good excersizes that can build resistance from getting knocked out. I am training in boxing aside from kickboxing being my main fighting system. I want to focous on "why" I am doing certain combinations with my hands and the theory behind it. Any advice for starting out for pure boxing training?

  • @runhorun Neck exercises. To learn to box train your footwork. It is very different from kickboxing. Kickboxing you can move forward and backwards more, in boxing it is better to step sideways a lot.

  • @albertpope I was practicing at work. I do security and look after this empty lot that is HUGE!I I was running back and forth doing this drill. I noticed after doing this so long I could punch at the same interval i moved left or right. It became natural. I moved to the rigiht I could punch with my left and same for the other hand. Im did this for hours. I had a habit on just walkin and i started to do it with out thinkin. I shadow box like a bad habit.

  • @albertpope Is it natural that I am fallin in love with boxing? I practice everyday and I am takin many private classes. I wish you could show me a couple of moves or two. Boxing keeps me sane when Im alone. :-).

  • @albertpope I just did this exercise 6 in the morning at the lot I takr care off that is vacant (I am security). I ran back and forth doing this back and forth. (jogging) I did it stationary and moving. My punches started to flow smoothly along with my foot work. It is lovely. I wonder if you have any updated vidoes or recent videos. I am also doing the jab jab right left left combination. Its really sweet.

  • @albertpope i like ur vids very helpful thx. ps got any vids of u boxing ?

  • @instantgravy well i'm not talented but if he likes to fight this way.. well its okay ! i like his theories actually.. but in a fight well theres so many thing that makes you forget this theory....

  • @instantgravy LOL Don't judge a book by its cover, stupidfuck. He has over 30 fights, like he said under you're mindless comment.

  • @instantgravy Fuck you for looking at this video and thinking you knew this whole guys life. You are an uncle fucker.

  • @instantgravy no man,you are wrong. He is the real deal.

  • @instantgravy Just how the hell do you know???!!! Stop assuming things about someone you haven't met personally, dumbass!

  • @instantgravy Even if this was true, that doesn't mean shit. Greg jackson was never a fighter yet he's the best mma coach around. Also, Freddie Roach was a fighter but he was never great. He is however a great coach.

  • Love how you get the Heroes that comment on these vids saying I'd smash you and all this shit well why the fuck are you watching the vid if your such fucking pro fighters?

  • Thanks

  • @albertpope you've been getting some negative replies about your techniques I would have to beg to differ. Thanks for making theses vids, cheers.

  • @rhodium1233 yeah people should complain less and thank more!!!!!!!!!

  • @albertpope i have been noticing that my straight jabs always cut their right hand short. The jab is an affective tool. Im still learning.

  • yeah !! i reckon your a drop kick that couldnt bruze a grape but by geeze you know your footwork how many fights you had ?

  • I can tell your cock sticks cunt

  • @ironballsmcgee83 wow forreall his trying to teach you something and all ur thinking about is his cock?

  • its easy to predict a punch with your shoulder moving....

  • Have you ever sparred or fought ?? Everyone I have ever fought that doesnt move there feet when punching become extremely easy to catch with any punch you choose.

You should step in with every punch using momentum and then step out after each combination.

  • @hoostiejj i reckon i'd fucking smash you cunt, bouncing massive right hands of your ugly fucking lemon spread so often you'd be begging me to hit you with a left

  • theres no rule in boxing :P every1 has hes/her own style :P some lean backwars some forwards.. its just what u think its best :P the key is practicing alot to become good .. imma boxer too i like to lean forward :P i can hit harder but cant avoid atacks that easy then

  • nice. i'd like to try to fight on my bicycle.

  • how do you get fast on your feet? lots of jump rope footwork? being lean and fit deffinatly helps.

  • Try doing foot work while skipping. =P

Its hard but it adds to skipping and works on the timing of the feet.

  • Hey Nice Video...Good FootWork...Kool Boxing Skill$

  • Im amateur boxer 6-0. I appreciate how easy you made that look. I dont take much on the boxing vids but yours are well worth a look! Love the pauses explaining technique to viewers. You need that in vids i think.

  • awesome

  • lol.........who is this comedian ????

  • @yosedave no comedian dave, a boxer is nothing without solid footwork.. building a fighter is like building a skyscraper, needs solid base on the ground or the final outcome will be a crumbling mess.

  • @YourMumsADouchebag oh the old skyscraper shtick.....lol......wow what a laugh....thankyou i needed it

  • @yosedave no worries mate, have fun trolling.

  • excellent

  • thumbs up if you like his drills (Y)

  • @trsisko i recommend you to become outboxer :> if you have long arms and legs then you have the advantage of reach and with your legs when trained you should be pretty fast :>

  • Best trainer on the net your class

  • hello there,

I am quite skinny and tall with longish arms and legs and maybe my neck is kinda long too, i really struggle to put any weight into body shots is there anything you recommend maybe use my legs more to create more power?

  • another great video thank you

  • Great videos man

  • I've just got into boxing and I'll have to say this vid has helped me out,

    thanks for the upload.

  • thanks for the info

  • you have hairy belly

  • The most obvious thing is to lean forward a little, and duck or slip the right hand. Then you're in the pocket and can hit his liver or chin with your left hand. Just make sure you bring your right foot up underneath you if you are stepping left. Don't get your legs split.

  • @albertpope Great Vids! Question, Im a orthodox fighter, lets assume im fighting a othodox fighter. If im boxing someone whos comeing in I usually step back to my right @ a 45 angle then throw my right. would it be cazy to step back to the left at a 45 angle in front of his right hand? someone told me pivot left then step back quick. Whats you thoughts?1 more important question, whats the best way to train to throw a good shoe shine. Just the bag?

  • thats when you dont want to get knock out!

  • Nice vid, you got some nice footwork!

  • Albert-pls. don't get discouraged by any negative, nonsense comments. Keep up the awesome vids! Great material.

  • just watch muhammad ali...thats what i did!

  • @twista3991 -amen.

  • your videos are highly constructive. cheers

  • 1:10 to 1:30 is weak, I would eat you

  • @myscrooge shut up and watch

  • when you aren't punching, should you be bouncing off one foot at a time, or bouncing off both simultaneously?

i notice that when i bounce off both feet at a time while not punching, i feel more agile because bouncing off one foot at a time (left/right/left...etc) i feel out of tempo.

  • yes, there is a drill I like to do that involves moving by bouncing off both feet simultaneously. keep it up!

  • i don't want to shut you up you can keep your bullshit coming all you want, you got anything to disagree on my previous comment, feel free to comment back,

sorry, i dun have record of boxing, i dun box but i did cut someone's head open with a cup in some restuarant, and some other shits not worth mentioning, but i guess they don't matter do they.

  • footwork and punching are two completely different things. if you want a punch to knock some1 out, you must have strong base, which means your feet are planted on the ground, that way you can torque the body(if you don't believe men, try punching on one foot and see what happens). however, if you don't want a punch to knock you out, then, you've got to move and be on your toes. but you don't punch WHILE your feet are moving.

  • @zxcvbnmbsbs - You are right, you do not punch with your feet moving. This drill is to teach you to whip and lock your body so fast that it looks like you are moving, but when the punch is snapped, your whole body is in fact perfectly still. There is a point at which your fist cannot reach out any further, and at that exact point you snap as hard and fast as you can. In practice (in a fight) both feet will be on the ground, and for an instant you are frozen when the punch lands.

  • @zxcvbnmbsbs true but you also step into your punches. if you say otherwise then you dont know what the fuck youre on about.

  • @zxcvbnmbsbs - if you box then you would know that at times you have to punch while you move your feet inorder to get out of trouble or sometimes creating angles. You dont have to plant your feet all the time, look at ali, mayweather, pac, etc.

  • This is cardio not boxing. In boxing, you step into your punches. If you throw a left jab, you step in with your left leg. If you throw a straight right or right cross(from orthodox stance), you pivot on your right foot(where the power comes from). Only time I've seen someone punch using the opposite foot is when they use a Superman punch.

  • Someone else also made this comment earlier. This is just a drill to make you a more creative puncher. It forces you to integrate evasion with quick counters. It's the most normal boxing drill of all time.

  • @tha4dogot i saw ali do it in his fight against cleveland williams first or second round

  • good vid,,

  • fight on your bike... i like that! subscribed

  • Great stuff!!! you're telling them too much:)

  • *****

  • Ok, I've seen enough. Subscribed.

  • Awesome footwork. Holy.

  • Your footwork is amazing. Great advice.

  • awesome video kid!!!!

  • In running: MOVEMENT LEFT hand and RIGHT legg help balance body, in boxing should be LEFT hand, and LEFT legg to throw this power streight to oponent, its base of boxing.

    sory for my Eanglisch.

  • love this drill cant wait to do it in the gym tonight
