@hulkboy1234 Before you hypnotise them you have to explain to them what hypnosis is and how the subconscious mind works, by doing this you create expectations in their mind that you WILL have to ability to hypnotise them. Hypnosis is all about appearing confident and influencing a person to the point that they believe what's going to happen will happen, all about forming beliefs.

This is all new to me, I am still skeptical but am certain things like this is what is really going on in religious settings, thus my interest. (I am an atheist but have always been interested in peoples beliefs)

@Kilpin333 I wouldn't say this is the easiest induction to do. I've tried it a few times and haven't gotten it to really work (they slipped into trance but came right back out). There are easier inductions to learn if you are a beginner.
