  • gracias loco!

  • Success where every tab / chord site suffered epic failure. Thanks.

  • i am making a cover of this song. So hard to sing so good as thom though!

  • Sorry to be a bit picky, but I think the E chord in the verse is an Eadd6 (little finger on 2nd fret of B string), and the first chord of the chorus is Bm7add11 (finger on 3rd rather than 2nd fret of B string), not with the 9th like you're playing here (although the 9th does sound nice!), and at the outro-ish part you can chuck in a few AMaj7 chords too, just to spice things up a little bit. I'm not criticizing, I'm just pointing out a few tiny little things. Good job though!

  • Brilliant!

  • nice t-shirt m8.

  • tecumsehband as in tecumseh Ontario?

  • you made it easy for us thanks man

  • nicely. The chords i've found online don't due justice to this. This is actually easier i think than the way i've been playing it. *****

  • GREAT! Thanks

  • So good ;-), thanks

  • thanks men, good song...easy to play

  • very helpful stroke lesson thx-from korea

  • I would recommend everyone interested in learning this song to look at a tab and maybe use this video as a reference. After all, strumming pattern isn't everything and you should try to develop a pattern of your own that sounds good. Also, his fingers are not positioned correctly with the E-chord. If someone criticizes others for not being able to play this song, then that certain somebody is simply showing how his guitar playing skills are lacking.

  • One of the best songs of all time. Easy enough to play, but damn hard to sing :p

  • Haha we can't all be Thom Yorke, ey?

  • where are the tabs

  • Exactly where in this title did u see, learn how to play fake plastic trees for beginners. What if his responding to an intermediate players request u shit fuck

  • What a fucking retard you are mate! His explanation helped me. If you can do better then just do it and stop fucking complaining around.

  • your a joke. "I can't wait TILL I GET GOOD ENOUGH" lol.

You can't play it, so you dump all over someone who can. And I'm sick of all you stupid little 10 year old punks, trying to act tough just cause your mommy lets you be on the internet.

  • LMAO excellent and so true. Any mommy hasn't a clue that it's 10% YouTube and 90% Porn.

  • if you cant figure out the strumming pattern and chords from these CLOSEUP shots you really shouldn't even be trying to learn this song

go learn baa baa black sheep on the first 3 strings rookie

  • a bit aggressive :p although i have to agree with you, theres no point just playin the song, the guys gotta tell us what chords hes doing, how to do them, etc..

  • It's 'waste' not waist, unless you are talking about his girth?

  • understand nothing o_O

  • id like to help but unless you can hook up with someone who is experienced on guitar its difficult. All i can say is listen listen and listen. Hes posted the chords, just keep at it and dont give up

  • patience is needed when learning guitar ^_^

  • thats retarded, use your ears

  • sorry my friend..its wrong..

  • id be interested if you have another way of playing this, could you post a vid?

  • I like how the chords aren't that difficult for this song...what's confusing me is the strumming pattern...

Can anyone clarify for me please?

    Thanks!

  • down, down, down, up, up, down down.

    that SHOULD help

  • Hit mostly only the bass strings when you change chords to give it that bass line sound at the beginning of a chord change... just partial strum the low strings... that might help..

  • and at the end during the "all the time" part of the "if i could be who you wanted" verse there is a variation of A which im not sure what its called but its --02120X.

  • I think it's an Asus2 with an added sharp 11

  • Also known as an a major 7, because the root in the middle moves back a semitone to the 7th in the a scale, a g sharp.

  • the first chord coming back into the she wears me out part should be a Bm. whatever that chord ur playin is im pretty sure is wrong.

  • tnx a lot.....

  • i love you for the f#dmaj9 chord. I spent ages trying to get it right thanks so much!

  • you either have very big hands, or that guitar is tiny!

  • thanks man you rock! one of the first songs i can play start to finish!

  • Yes, Thank you.

  • hey, thanks for posting this video. i think It is pretty easy for everyone to learn from your video. :)

  • thanks for watching.

  • @Gigsixstring Hi Im a guitar expert your pluking the strings in the wrong part you should pluck them where that hole is in the big part of the guitar

  • fuckin tabs make it look so complicated but now i see it isnt at all

  • for a minute i thought you were playing on a ukulele :) this is clever to strum close to the head for the sake of teaching..this is my favourite guitar song ever... at night it sounds perfect!

  • thanks a lot.

  • hahaha... that's funny... "at night it sounds perfect!"... my songs only sound well in the shower... XD

  • Whpoaoooooo...incredible!!!!!

I know that asfing fort the strumming pattern turns me into a newby...buat here pattern is the soul....may you be so kind to put it? DU-UU--D---etc?

    Thanks a lot!!!!

  • that's pretty good.. only you missed the A6 (I think that's its name) right before the final part. Everyone else, you should try to get this song by ear.. it's a nice and simple tune and it's good practice for beginers

  • great dude ! thanks. i could never figure out this awesome song before.

  • This was a threat and a complement and it didn't make any sense at all. you said you loved the song than you said do a way better radiohead song please. "others with some exceptions i absolutly love this song and creep i could seriously shot anyone who trys to inprove or do it there self on this song in the face with a pistol." this part in particular doesn't make any sense

  • threatening to kill someone over covering a song...yeah man, that works really well. but at least you "love him", right? ha, right.

please don't ruin the music for everyone else.

  • dude,wich drop is that? '-'

  • can somebody please tell me the strumming pattern for this song?

  • Good job. Did you figure that out by ear? I still can't figure out what notes you're hitting alot of the time. Any tips on where to find the chords?

  • look in the video description for the chords that i use.

i figured this out by ear. Playing a lot of Bright Eyes songs helped me because Conor uses a few chords in the song a lot.

  • which strings are u picking and in which order? 3rd and 4th?

  • god, u sound just like him !!

  • oh, im not singing, i wish. im just playing along with the song.

  • so good ^^

hey plz i want the acords that u use

    plz i need that T_T

  • nice!

  • Thanks for the video. Can you do the one where he plays paranoid android solo and live acoustic?

  • Damn that F# to E is hard for me lol

  • Great cover, shame about the clothes.

  • why are you strumming on the fretboard?

  • So you can see his strumming pattern and still be in a close up of his chord changes. DUHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

  • duhhhhhhhhh?

is that down up hammer hammer hammer.....?

  • to show the strumming pattern.

  • i kinda wish you would actually explain what to play rather than typing it out

  • ive been doing that in some of my newer videos and will probably do so in the future for all of them.

  • Thank you! :)

  • I actually think the E chord is really 022120.

  • I agree :O)

  • GOOD!!!!! BUENA MAN ;)

  • yeah thanks for posting, makes my life easier. Since this is a blog....who dressed you that day? Fire them.

HAhaha just kidding, good song, thanks for the demo.

  • At 12 seconds there, I dont think it should be an E. A maj 7

  • thank you so much!!

  • it's an easy song, but it really helps though. :)

  • man, i cant believe this song is so awesome yet so simple...

  • Excellent way to learn my favourite Rodiohead song. Thanks!!

  • thanks again! :D

  • It's really great what you do here! I was dying to learn to play this song!! Thanks so much!!!!!!!!!!!

  • great job mate

  • thank you.

  • thanks

it's the first song I learnt

  • good. i have another radiohead video if you are interested. (fake plastic trees)

  • i mean karma police.

  • haha

  • i liked,,,congrats

  • thanks.

  • fantastic!!

    radiohead rules

    respect!!

  • they really do! what do you think of the new album?

  • Awesome! Love House of Cards

  • ...thanks

    ...i gonna to practice

    //funny short-pants xD//

  • thanks! there is a funny story about those shorts somewhere in the comments. at least i think that it is from this video.

  • great vid by the way!! But the E chord played in the verse sequence is actually a an E6 chord where you play the normal E shape but you put your forth finger on the 2nd fret of the B string! 022120 Like that!!!

  • on 21 seconds what is the chord u are doing there, cant quite see what u are fingering..

otherwise im pleased for the info- learnt alot thanku!

  • that is a d chord.

  • ok it just looks different to when u do the D chord elsewhere thats all. Thanks anyway i think i got the basics of the rift and strums etc. Thanks for takin time to do it ive gained great deal of pleasure from it. will check out your others sometime, how about some u2 meanwhile..?

  • What kind of guitar is that

  • in this video i am playing a mansfield acoustic.

  • Hey TecumsehBand, try playing all the E's as an E6 = 022120

    The B in the chorus that you have a ? against, is a Bm11 = X20230

The Dmaj9 you wrote is right but is actually called an F#/Dmaj9

  • thanks a lot!

  • Chords names are confusing, but I think his Bm11 is more correct since C# is the 9 and a 11 chord implies a 9 interval. x20230 is more Bm7 add4. The E Maj seems more correct too. Anyway, nice work. I've been searching the web, and this is the best I've seen.

  • After listening more closely I have to agree with longnik. x20230 sounds right. not x20220. It looks like that's what he plays when you check out the acoustic performance on you tube too.

  • Yeah, I guess comet91 is right.

    A#4/B (x20230) seems better than Bm11.

Anyway, these are the best chords i've seen in covers. Nice job!

  • if we can learn which chords use in this song would be better.

  • look in the video info. i always put the chords there.

  • Sorry i couldnt see that, that's ok now

  • no problem.
