Its all about volumetric efficiency. Using race fuels, turbos, nitrous, there are ways to get massive power out of ANY engine if you want to put the money into it.
one other thing this would be a good option for those who don't want only straight line performance because in this case you can have traction and still run tires with a nice side wall for cornering unlike a drag slick with would be optimum for drag but in that case I would prefer not to have traction control.
This would be a very good thing for those who underestimate fast car's on the street that don't have a roll cage or big meaty drag slicks. Then again weight transfer also plays a roll.
Supras are 1 of the best cars in the WORLD to tune up. you can get a supra's HP up passed 2,100+HorsePower. I wished i had one right now but Im only 16 with a 1990 acura integra. Tunned up to about 415HP. Cant wait to take out a loan for a Supra! lol
@blown4six Yeah but, I want the cleanest look and it has to be a daily driver... So I cant just spend $20,000 on a engine and exspect it to be under the hood without showing anything.. For instence, A motor without a hood and the intercooler and piping sticking wayyyyy out from the front end... Not road legal.
@blown4six You can get any motor to 2100hp. I don't know about that. Lets see you try that with a Honda D series. Even better lets see you try that with a Geo metro motor.
Anything is possible, all it takes is money. Of course no one is going to put that much money into a SOHC d series to get it that high, but yes it is possible.
@kageryu311 I'm sure it's possible but almost every single part would have to replaced with a stronger components so I guess technically it wouldn't be the same motor but I'm sure it's possible with todays technology and alot of money for R&D.

It's based on differential wheel speed (calibratable by how fast you are moving). It pulls timing and cuts cylinders depending on the severity of it.

How does the traction control work? Cut timing/ignition over an accelleration threshold?

@mthura i dont know for this car specifically, but by the looks of those tire marks i would way that the rear brakes are also modulated.

Nice car btw Lovin the sound of the turbo and the 2jz

Look's like the traction control add's some wheel hop?Think this may be an issue for car's with weaker axles or diff's or transmissions?

@blown4six 1000whp is one thing but 2 grand isn't a point that a lot of motors can hit even with tons of money poured into them.
