A Corpsman named J.C. Carreon was the one who treated him and signed for his treatment. In addition there was shrapnel in the Kerry's skin that was removed, he was not just cut, nor did he ever request a purple heart, it was given to him.

Members of this organization and their supporters twisted the facts, lied about what Kerry actually said, and harmed the image of all veterans in the process. The First Admendment has never protected deceit, outright lies, libel, slander, and similar. As a public figure, Kerry left himself somewhat open to that (though I believe the Swiftboat fanatics went way too far), but that certainly doesn't mean others, like myself, have to accept such nonsense without a bit of criticism of our own. Kerry's service in Vietnam, including in the Gulf of Tonkin aboard the USS Gridley in addition to four months of Swift boat duty, was entirely typical for naval personnel, especially officers. Further, only a few members of the Swiftboat Veterans group (Larry Thurlow, Stephen Gardner, etc) actually served with Kerry, with the rest never once meeting him. Others in his unit, including most of his crew, openly supported his election campaign.

Bush wasn't in Vietnam, but then neither were all who testified at the 1971 Winter Soldier Investigations in Detroit.
Al Hubbard, then executive secretary for VVAW, was not an Air Force officer as he claimed, nor is there any documentation of service in Vietnam.
Steve Pitkin, one of the men who testified at WSI, later recanted his allegations of atrocities against fellow soldiers.
All who spoke at WSI, including John Kerry, should be willing to sign affidavits... otherwise, it's all bs.

A Corpsman named J.C. Carreon was the one who treated him and signed for his treatment. In addition there was shrapnel in the Kerry's skin that was removed, he was not just cut, nor did he ever request a purple heart, it was given to him.

Lets not twist the truth here. Kerry's service in Vietnam, including in the Gulf of Tonkin aboard the USS Gridley in addition to four months of Swift boat duty, was entirely typical for naval personnel, especially officers. Further, only a few members of the Swiftboat Veterans group (Larry Thurlow, Stephen Gardner, etc) actually served with Kerry, with the rest never once meeting him. Others in his unit, including most of his crew, openly supported his election campaign.

Problem w/ Corsi...he uses fluff in his writing...phrases like "he barely mentioned in passing" (statement false) and he states random blogger statements as fact... And confuses the facts with the shit he makes up in his head. Yes, he lied. Captured U.S. soldiers in North Vietnam were tortured until they 'admitted' that they committed war crimes.
I don't know why, but John Kerry lied about what they did, mostly to placate the Left, I believe.
