Wow, you make so many good points! I never thought that people would even say something like that. Why would every TG female necessarily do hair and makeup just because they feel they are female? Just like natural-born females! (i.e. myself) I put makeup on maybe a few times a year and I don't do my hair except for special occasions; that doesn't make me a wannabe man or a fake woman. :S Why should TG people go through more effort to look the gender they feel they are? Who cares!
Why should TG people go through more effort to look more STEREOTYPICALLY like their gender... that is, fancy makeup & hair for girls, baggy jeans and facial hair for guys.
That's like someone saying, "pay the price for the choice you made - if you're such a girl, wear some makeup and look like a whore!" (even though it isn't choice) closed-minded people of course would think that.
That was a powerful delivery that needed airing. Some, like me, find the natural look far more attractive than what is often perceived as a fashionable look. A persons spirit, self assurance and other strengths are what's really important and can make other physical appearances pale into insignificance.
Whoever made that rude comment about you, they needs to get a life. They're just insecure a because they are lesser of woman then you are. Keep doing what you do.
Very well-said. This may be irrelevant, by the way, but I happen to think that you don't need any makeup, or hair"dos". You look beautiful without it, dear. Excellent video.
The way I always looked at other trans women was that I can respect anyone minus the few who act perverted and dress extremely disgusting to disgrace the rest of us in public. Other than that, as a trans woman myself, I know that I have always been respectful to others who take GID as seriously as myself. I just never appreciated feeling mocked by the ones who Ive mentioned above. You're great Aire and you just have to ignore whoever wrote that babble to you because they are clueless.
I love this video - I love YOU and your spirit and your passion. Hold these thoughts deep within you - they are powerful beyond belief. I am so proud of all that you and those like you have accomplished and stand for.
Just keep being you dont bother thinking about other people or what they say about you,as long as you are being true to your self screw them, you are just a average woman to me,my wife doesn't wear makeup on here or do her hair.
My statement on the whole matter is this: If we were all supposed to fit in one mold, wouldn't we have solved all of our differences ages ago?
Watch the video I made about my mom feeding her alpacas. She's 71, doesn't put on make-up and can handle just about anything that comes along. Personally, I'm very proud of her, not because she dresses like the cover of Vogue, but for who she is. Frankly, I feel the same way about you. I'm sorry you have to put up with jealous infighting.
Arianna, you are NOT fake and if someone is only watching your videos to criticize you, they need to watch something else. You genuinely want to help others and being yourslf is the way I see you doing that. So many people watch your vidoes because they look up to you. Don't let anyone's negative opinion of you get you down because so many people, myself included, think very highly of you. -AnnieMiranda
You are so friggen right, I really think from what I have seen there needs to be more feminist consciousness raising in the mtf trans community. Just because you happen to be trans it doesn't mean you have to spend all this time and energy trying to look like a barbie doll. Women shouldn't continue to be opressed by this bullshit, its the year 2008!!! The first transwoman I ever met was a butch lesbian, and that didn't make her any less of a woman then anyone else. Down with misogyny!!!! :(
.and a big part accepts this too be sooo. and those people are the finger pionters in everday life .like no no you can,t do that be like that .thats not aloud ..well who sad soo right ..my filosofie /life quote is do what you please in life aslong ive it thosed hurt anybody .including your self:D
i sooo agree with your coment scott and ariana you now we are all unique;) .and that makes us all beautifull inside and out in all shapes off mother nature .but we life in a society that find it easyer too tag everbody;(
It's OK to vent, I have been here so many times myself. If you want to truly feel like you have accomplished something by this venting, let it be that all who make vent in the first place kiss your ass in Macy's window. There is no rule book in being a woman Hon, nothing that defines us, it comes from within. There is not a person alive who is going to make me unhappy about what I know and need to do, (NO ONE!)
Dont let other people bother you....now i know its hard, but your beautifle woman! and those people who say those things are narrow minded, and not even worth acknowledgment they dont know what it is like, or understand is all really, just be yourself, cause in the end its you who knows who you are, and you know your a woman, thats what counts!!
Seriously... about 90% of world's social problems are the result of people not minding their own business. Did you post a video asking what people thought of your appearance? I didn't see it, so how about they stfu. Why do people feel the need to share their perceptions of other people without being asked? I think they used to call that "being rude".
in my opinion, when you put your video in a public forum, it should be expected that people are going to comment on what you say, how you act and how you look. I'm not saying that it's right, I'm just saying that it's life. it's like actors who get written about in gossip mags/blogs or talked about on talk shows. It may not be right, but when you put yourself in the public eye, you kind of become subject to public opinion, wether you ask or not.

...or rather, I should rephrase that:
Why should TG people go through more effort to look more STEREOTYPICALLY like their gender... that is, fancy makeup & hair for girls, baggy jeans and facial hair for guys.
