  • Phonte + Rapper Big Pooh + 9th Wonder = Little Brother one of the most underrated group!!

  • @blkheb85 Outkast, Cunninlynguists, Goodie Mobb, Da Backwudz etc. Lots of good southern stuff

  • @blkheb85 whatchu know...the south is hot....new york is almost played out, all you losers still probably be rockin jay z with his lame ass

  • @whitetrash421 thats like me sayin ya listen but wayne and gucci

    why so much hate?

there's nas, jean grae, pharoahe monch, mos def, talib kweli, raekwon, ghostface, meth, styles p, joell ortiz, packfm, skyzoo, sha stimuli, torae, sean price, masta ace, mf doom, jadakiss, immortal technique canibus, saigon, papoose, q-tip, consequence, wordsworth, punchline, mf grimm, necro, El-P, aesop rock, tame one, vast aire, saul williams, mobb deep, and outasight. and those are just the ones i remember

  • @thesupplierofmusic

dont forget Cormega, he bin about

  • @thesupplierofmusic played out still, brilliant rappers nevertheless.

  • @thesupplierofmusic and qwel

  • @thesupplierofmusic...great response to the "ban down south comment". I am from the westcoast living in Houston. The list you ran down is butter expecially Jay Electronica. Saw him open for Mos Def at HOB's in houston over a year ago. PROgress.

  • @blkheb85 yo, im not trying to be smart, but if you heard some good down south hip hop, you shouldn't want to ban all of southern hip hop. Some of us, really bring some nice tracks. If you ever get a chance check out Dee-1 or u can even check some of my tracks out to see what you think. Thanks and be blessed! #spreadthesoup

  • Kill yoself to the 10 idiots that disliked this track! Go listen to waka and soulja dis here real music young bucks!

  • @blkheb85

i'd rather have little brother, primo (from texas), jay electronica, big k.r.i.t., cunninlyguist, ugk, scar face and the geto boys, outkast, goodie mob, dead prez, celph titled, freddie gibbs, zro, devin the dude, clipse, j.cole, nappy roots, and arrested development then not have a bunch of shitty rappers i don't even listen to.

  • @thesupplierofmusic damn u know ur shit

  • @thesupplierofmusic u forgot k-rino, possibly the greatest southern rapper

  • @thesupplierofmusic glad you mentioned Jay electronica :D

  • @thesupplierofmusic

Freddie Gibbs is not a southern rapper, he is midwest. Gary, Indiana.

  • @0194D well i live in north jersey, so everything from south jersey down is considered south. my bad.

  • @thesupplierofmusic

So maryland is southern to you? Yeah living in jersey must have really fucked your way of looking a the US map. And also do you even listen to Freddie Gibbs, he shouts out "The MidWest" all the time.

  • @0194D Basically but it's easy to think that way when you go down to south jersey (or even west jersey) and you see people at there with confederate flags and selling confederate souvenirs in stores. and no, I don't listen to freddie gibbs that often (at least not as much as guys like electronica, fashawn, elzhi, cyne, slaine, and blu) My brother gave me one of his mixtapes but there isn't any space on my phone for it. I've heard him on songs with cunninlynguist, coss,sb and blu tho.

  • @thesupplierofmusic

Still....a confederate flag doesn't signify the actual south.

But yeah listen to Gibbs he is pretty good. I'm waiting for his next mixtape to drop. He keeps extending the release date.

  • @0194D will do

  • @thesupplierofmusic don't forget krino

  • @thesupplierofmusic **incredibly impressed by this list**

  • @thesupplierofmusic so wait you want to have shitty rappers??? cus the not contradicts the statement lol

  • @decklin15

there are gonna be shitty rappers, always has been and always will be (hence we have guys like vanilla ice and mc hammer who go diamond). bitchin about it doesn't make them go away. instead, just listen to good music.

  • l want to win fuck looking good loosening

  • even if u aint never had a dream, this song gone make you want some at the end of da track...

  • Inspirational.

  • WOW!!! THE GREATEST GROUP!

  • dont even bring Drakes name up in this bitch ....srry that i did just that this is reall shit he aint talkin about hoes and money or fuckin 2 white cups Lol

  • Reall music , im always high af playin thissong everyday while im gettin ready

  • Love this song and Styles P murdered this beat

  • @TheIllusionelf Styles P made a song to this beat called Keep Ya Vest On

  • @smitty123456789100 oh, but gangsta lyrics gon sound weird on this beat, its too smooth and relaxed fo that

  • @TheIllusionelf Not true its a good song go listen to it

  • Dreams > Miss Me

  • what sample is dis?

  • @GSTYLES757 dont kno the orignal sample..but i know drake did sample some of the drum and horns for "miss me"

  • @springmasskid92 miss me samples wildflower by hank crawford same sample used for kanye west drive slow

  • Hey fam'. I played this album at work one day & I got little to no response as to who LB was. I was truly disappointed man. I mean I got folk around me who came up in the same school of hip hip as me but they didn't feel Little Brother for the lyricism nor the beats. I felt like asking "what kinda shit are y'all smokin'?" It's very little in the mainstream that I like & appreciate. I keep my ears open, but it leads me back to the dope beats & dope rhymes on the regular. Forever LB. 1 Love

  • not even the next kanye west more like the kanye best

  • mama, i got dreams....

  • Missing this

  • 9 people had cotton in their ears.

  • dope

  • song hitz deep.. fo real

  • RASHID HADEE=The next Kanye West

  • what an amazing track. damn!

  • yo bretmo21 u jus said it best bro.. datz a real hip hop head fa ya.. fuck da hatred let niggaz do dey thing wit they own style

  • mufackin SICK YO!

  • PHONTE is a genius of rap fuck these tasteless ass wanna b's

  • @hamelzz em is a genius, just a different taste of rap.

  • lyrics and beat is crazy

  • just about EVERYTHING they do will make u break yo fuccn neck

  • like the way u rap

  • Hip-hop has been around long enough to have different genres now like jazz and rock music has different styles of the same form. I like some of the mainstream artists but the underground rap needs to resurface. I don't hate Lil Wayne, Drake, etc. I just like Little Brother, Murs, Pharoahe, Common and everybody else with hot albums that get no air-play much more!! This song is the shit because it's from the heart!!

  • @bretmo21 i agree. it fucking pisses me off to hear artists like Eminem 'rap'.

  • @hamelzz

your comment is better fitted for "artists" like lil wayne and drake, because eminem whether liked or not, still has to be given respect

  • @bretmo21 Thank you.

  • @bretmo21 couldnt have said it better (:

  • @bretmo21 Very well said and so damn true...

  • @bretmo21 true true... I like some of the mainstream rap, like Kanye West & Kid Cudi who still dare to experiment and make art. But nothing can EVER touch the golden age hiphop and of course I love people who tryi'na keep that movement alive with them laid-back sampled beats and deep lyrics. Basically I just love hiphop

  • @bretmo21 but if it resurfaces than everyone will get into it and these artists will be played all the time on the raidos and eventually start changing to more of the mainstream styles because thats what everyone is listening to.

  • this is what i called hip hop lil wayne, drake, rick ross, travis porter, gucci mane, soulja boy, and any other garbage ass tigh jean, shirt, colorful sneaks, scarf wearin, cant spit to this

  • just uploaded two vids Against the wall (instrumental produced by 9th wonder), and a freestyle(off the top) over the "You got me" instrumental stop being dicks and check it out

  • I agree...this is what drew me back to hip hop...lyrics, passion, diversity....so many stories for our young, hungry ones to spit...

  • this shit inspires me...

  • Phonte & Black Thought : @ of THE M-O-S-T Underrated MCees on the PLANET!!!!!!

  • @cenzy142 pretty sure thought is not considered an underrated mc. he's got mad respect from everyone.

  • @cenzy142 you sir are correct

  • @cenzy142 Dude you aint never lied!! I love they style forreal!! They are hip hop big time yo

  • @cenzy142 SO FUCKIN TRUE!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @cenzy142

Yo, I always thought they should make a group, every bar would be hard

  • just wanna say to all u drake haters. hes actually a pretty good rapper.i'll admit find your love was a pretty shitty song but he raps the truth most of the time on his less popular songs. im not saying hes the best cuz obviously, compare him to phonte n hes an amatuar. but u gotta give him props 4 not losing himself completely with all the fame he's obtained

  • I just put Phonte's verse on repeat over and over. He has so many memorable verses that anybody in the world can relate to.

  • @tgessling I ALWAYS LISTEN 2 PHONTE VERSE MORE THAN 2 TIMES HE CAN RAP AND DELIVER IT

  • Hey guys if you're going to hate on Drake on an LB video, just know that in Curtain Call, Phonte gives props to Drake for being part of the next generation continuing what LB started. Also Drake has worked with Phonte+9th. If Phonte has respect for Drake, he's probably worthy of respect, just sayin.

  • @ZXCVBNM567123

It's a good point, I just can't help but disagree with Phonte on this one. T

hey are not in the same league.

  • @ZXCVBNM567123 listen to Drake-Think Good Thoughts with phonte and 9th and elzhi,.. its proof that Drake CAN rap but 99 times out of 100 he chooses not to lol

  • @ShinglongBok lolol did u listen to wat he said, lolo he can rap a lil but he cant stick wit elzhi and phonte

  • Feel it !

  • CHECK OUT DRE PRINCE "DEF OF REAL" FT JDILLA

  • @littleiverson1 Drake isn't hip hop; He is hip pop! LOL!!!! Little Brother is Hip hop!

  • Dang I just realized drake ripped him off.

  • Will I ever be able to find an instrumental to this song?

  • @KannonLax u can take drakes and slow it down even though this was out waaaaay before his

  • man this is in my top 10 favorite songs man i just feel it to death. remember i said my top not yours so dont put any smart replies back. because im speaking on me not yall.

  • 5 people dont have a dream!

  • @littleiverson1 U just need to die.

  • Comment removed

  • @mrecu2007 I dont get how you blame drake for this? He's not a producer hes a rapper/singer he dosnt make the beats and besided everybody samples from other songs

  • @MartianForMayor To me, drake represents how artists killed hip hop. No he didnt make the beat, but he stereo typed it and made it a radio/commercial song. Drakes been on more of little brothers beats besides this one. Not to mention he says phonte of "little brother" is his mentor. Basically he took his style and ran with it, as far as lyrics.....and this proves to be also true about beats as well. Your right he doesn't makes beats, he just steals em and re-titles the songs....

  • good song

  • @littleiverson1

justin bieber must be good, he's on the radio right?

    ya fucking idiot..

  • i hope all of u realize that allot of artists use other peoples beats

  • @JPL1221 well a lot of good producers might sample stuff front different songs but they dont just slow down/pitch shift someone else's beat. theres deffinately a difference

  • NO! Drake you thief!!!!

  • where the views at?

  • LITTLE BROTHER IS LIKE EDDIE JONES OF THE 90"S LAKERS SQUAD VERY UNDERRATED!!!!!

  • sHE SAID YO MUSIC NOT DA SAME.... I SAID NIGGA DATS DA POINT!!! LOL

  • @S3XYBOI7 lmao

  • boo drake!....he's jus not my cup of tea!! : (

  • bmx to this song 24/7

  • NC stand up

  • The best line ever, "Do you really want to win or just look good losing?''

  • @jumondeh16 my favorite quote of all-time

  • why does everybody hate on Drake, can there be more than one good rapper. You simple minded mofos make it seem like you can only like one rapper at a time. Yall know Drake is cold just because they play his shit a million times on the radio doesnt make him garbage so what if they started doing that to LB? Then you mofos will be saying that they sold out. Thats the name of the game they are trying to make money.

  • @trickpoppy We hate him cause he's terrible.

  • @trickpoppy your an idiot nobody hates him cuz hes on the radio his lyrics are wackkk underground is where its at lyrics with meaning

  • @NastyyNas94 Drakes lyrics are terrible??? Wow. You obviously don't really listen to his lyrics then.

  • @trickpoppy it has nothing to do with liking one rapper at a time. drake is just wack. he's from degrassi lol he doesn't have shit to say to me or anyone one else in the struggle if you ask me....

  • @trickpoppy it has nothing to do with liking one rapper at a time. drake is just wack. he's from degrassi lol he doesn't have shit to say to me or anyone one else in the struggle if you ask me.... he's not wack because he's gettin air time. he's wack because he has no cred. he doesn't even write his rhymes by his self

  • @acidjazzist You sound like someone who isn't in the struggle either. He isn't a good rapper because he doesn't have any cred??? LOL. Little Brother has no street credibility if that is what you mean. lol. You don't need street cred to be a rapper. Being on the streets and rapping are two different things. You sound like someone from the suburbs fronting like they know what the streets is about. Real recognizes real. lol.

  • @trickpoppy yeah you right. i made it out the struggle. and now its a whole new ballgame. i don't listen to bullshit. real does recognize real. little brother is real as shit. fuckin drake??! hahaha yyyeaah.....

  • @trickpoppy little brother talks about real shit. drake is just another commercial rapper selling his soul for fame, bitches, and money. and the name of the game is not to make money, hip hop originated for people to spit the truth and drop some knowledge about life. drake sucks. i'll admit his lyrics go deeper than say wayne or soulja boy but for an adult, his intelligence level is very basic. i'm only 19 and just by listening to his lyics i can tell my mind goes deeper than his.

  • @oufan141

I'm with you on that. Litlle Brother wants to make music. If all they wanted was to make money, they probably could have sold out a long time ago for more fame.

  • @oufan141 drake also raps about real shit too. songs like the calm and a lot of his songs on thank me later. i love both rappers.

  • @joneseyA22 the calm's a decent song. i'm not saying drake doesnt have any good lyrics, but overall would you say he's in the same leage as a lot of the great underground rappers? hell no, not even close. there's kids rapping at the parks who have more to say than drake does.

  • @trickpoppy I can't even begin 2 explain what is wrong w/ everything poppy said.

  • @trickpoppy Drake has no good lyrical content what so ever. he always has to talk about 1. money 2. Lil wayne 3. niki minaj 4. money or hooking up with girls. i could give you a list of rappers 20x better than him. i agree with you it gets annoying when people like one rapper and only that rapper saying they're the best.. but honestly i dont think you can compare drake to LB. Just my opinion though. No hate to you

  • its the order phonte than big pooh

  • I love LB's music. Pure dopeness.

  • lol sorry if anyone on this page like him but.... FUCK DRAKE. There are so many people better than him: this being a prime example

  • dislike:must explain.

  • What does it matter if Drake copied/stole/sampled whatever? Little Brother ripped this shxt and Drake ripped Miss Me. I'm just grateful for that

  • Momma I got Dreams but Dreams don't keep da lights on

  • Rashid Hadee on the beat

  • why am i just hearing of these guys now?

  • @HerbalEssence420SWED go check out lat album.....supose to be their last D:

  • One of the best hip-hop beats of all time!

    it's a fucking classic only 200,000 SMH,SMFH!

  • I have seen these guys like 5 times, and they are seriously like the best ever. It is sad that they broke up,and Phonte may be the single best rhymer ever. I love Em,and Talib Kwali, and there is some great shit by J,Cole too,But this dudes style is rediculous. Long Live L.B. Baby.

  • I like Little Brother this song is about 1 thing Drakes and Lil Waynes songs such as Miss Me got random rhymes a good song but Dreams is way better

  • well all i gotta say is that the beat sounds really like miss me but shit if he did copy on purpose then this just means this guy got the beats on lock lol.
