I grew up watching the original Transformers, and I must say the original was the best by far. The animation by todays standards may be inferior, but that is where the substance of the original Transformers lay. The new versions with the CGI, and new animation is all fluff. Has no substance just another way to keep us thinking of the Transformers which isn't a bad thing, but they sacrificed alot by doing this and by changing the stories completely!

I dont know what you've been watching... but when i watch it now, the original Transformers (G1) is nothing more than a bunch of toy commercials. Its episodic, theres no real character progression or primary plot. I know it hurts, but sometimes what we see in our childhood isn't all that memories its cracked up to be.

And if you didn't like the feel of the show, try watching season 2 & 3 they are each directly related to G1 & G2.
