Dear Meosha,

I must confess that I didn't enjoy this short-film as much as the others that I've seen so far on your channel. There were quite a few minor niggles which sadly ruined my enjoyment. But still, you all really seemed to have fun making the movie, and you still deserve genuine praise.

After all, if you'd had the budget for proper 'Blood' effects and stunt doubles etc, then this would have been first class :-)

There are a couple shots where the staging was off in the very beginning. After that the cinematography is well done, especially around the 5:00 mark. Work on the lighting. Would have been better if the girl in the bedroom heard their argument right away, and probably show that it upset her if it's a typical thing in her family, but if it's something out of the ordinary have her react, tell her friend something is going on before hanging up. Good job. The blood fx could use some work too.

Good suspense. The main guy did a good acting job. The film is pretty good, I just think you should have cut out the bloopers at the end. It completely ruins the atmosphere.

Oh, and use a mic on a boom to get close to the actors. The dialogue needs to be much more clear. And use some lighting. Why shoot in the dark?

Well, you like your 'dramatic music package' don't you. Oh, and the glitchy changes of image. I would try and focus on more interesting camera placement and editing. And hell, if you're going to hit someone over the head with a bottle give it some impact. Place the bottle against their head, move it away quickly and then reverse the footage. Before you do any more shorts you need to do some experimenting and sharpen your writing and technique. Too much mediocrity in your shorts.
