The new AGM-88E AARGM is even deadlier than this. The new HARM variant has a passive seeker and the ability to "remember" the locations of fixed stations to counter radar shutdown (thusly, when Magnum is called out you may as well also just abandon your post). I remember reading that the HARM once went after a B-52 tail gun guidance suite, so theoretically it could be used to hunt AWACS. Very cool piece of weaponry.

This missile made the serbs shit their pants. They were so scared of it that when an aircraft was locked on by a SAM, the pilot just had to call "magnum" (callsing for a HARM being fired) over the radio, and all the SAM sites would turn off their radars

As for the other comments about the Yugoslavia desintegration you may notice a strange pattern of countries falling apart wherever america tries to impose "justice". Guess what?? Iraqis got their ass kicked during Desert Storm because of these missiles. Highly reliable, American wild weasels could penetrate deep inside Iraqi airspace under F-15's cover and take down radar sites to blind Iraqi air defences. Then F-16s would move in and drop JDAMs to finish off the rest.
