I love the energy in Cal's report. Anything that can give Lebanon a good name is good enough for me. My personal wish for the country is that our local art scene benefit from all this tourism and increased hype and activity. I also hope that the government can monitor consumer prices in such a way as to protect the Lebanese citizen who is not always privileged enough to afford the hike in prices which we've witnessed in the past few months. Beirut is a party city, it's a fact considering number of clubs, the events they have, etc. True, there are less fortunate people but so are there in Rio and in Sao Paolo, doesn't make them less of a party city!! If anything, the level of poverty in Lebanon is MUCH less than other "well-advertised" party cities or whatnot. I hate when people are so steryotyped, and just because Beirut is always associated with war, doesn't mean it doesn't have another side to it
