  • Hi teddyburriss!

Thanks for viewing and nice to hear from another fan of Weak Ties!

Marilyn Carpenter, author - "OPEN SESAME: Why It's All About ACCESS for the New Worker of the 21st Century"

  • Thanks Suzi - I teach students, sales people and the unemployed to Network for Mutual Benefit and I learned the phrase Weak Ties from Keith Ferrazi. I'm always looking for examples where Weak Ties have helped others. Your video plays well with my next seminar. Thanks again

  • Hi,

This concept, is featured in my own book - "OPEN SESAME: Why It's All About ACCESS for the New Worker of the 21st Century." I read about Granovetter's paper through Malcolm Gladwell, thought the concept stunning - so it needed to be exploited for displaced professionals who were looking for their next role. Suzi - featured in the video, was a client and a contractor for me while she sought her next role. She did indeed land well! Thanks for your interest - Marilyn Carpenter

  • Nice, hope it worked out. How is it that you are familiar with Granovetter's paper "The Strength of Weak Ties"? I'm studying it for my magister's thesis work.
