Cane at he helm of Chancellor Industries w/ Neil on board is more of a threatening rival to NE than Jack ever was! If done right, this storyline is just heating up! I hope the writers read and hear that!! DG's talents have been wasted long enough!

Personally I think the Cane mystery is going to be SUBARed. (screwed up beyond all recognition)

I think EB made another demand, just doesn't want Cane a Chancellor to be married to Lily a .....WINTERS. wink.

I respected EB as an actor since "Rat patrol", but since his demands on Cane and Lily's s/l, with his tenure on Y&R and he was allowed to get away with it. THAT SUCKS

He was helped at some time. Why not help them, unless, there is something else about them he doesn't like?!?!

Yes they will survive this. I can't think anything else because I will go insane. The writers stink because Chilly had and have a marriage while Lane who deserves a good marriage has angst immediately following. What is that??? A complete mess that's what.

The vows that Lane recited to each other makes me think this secret will be just another bump in the road. I mean Cane's initial intentions behind reuniting with his family was a lie, but I think he really is PCIII. How else would he be a match for the paternity test if he & Billy weren't really brothers? I think the fake PCIII found the real PCIII - Cane - & they started scheming together. But Cane's had a change of heart, he genuine loves his family now & Lily. Lane with survive this too.

Key word is a "secret" -- Not about his love for Lily or his family. I think the phonecall is a loose end. MAB will try to explain Cane's motives with intrigue & mystery. It is a character driven storyline, Cane's desires and fears.. We know Cane came to town with a different plan.  I hope the writers tell the story from redemption. As they expose the secrets, I hope they explore the depth of Cane's genuine desire to change, be different. A man CAN change. I hope MAB keeps it in mind.

The other guy on the phone was indeed Phillip III, Nina's "dead" husband. He's the original guy who played him back in the day and he's just signed a year contract for the show. Looks like things are REALLY heating up in Genoa City with him AND Nina being back along with their son, Phillip IV coming soon, who will be Rafe's gay lover.

Cane's "con artist" past is coming back but I really think he is IN LOVE with Lily so we'll see how the writers do this.
