  • there must be something ! omg it's full with misteries!!

  • @pecintapiano I believe that it is radio waves recorded with special equipment on a space Hubble that picks up strange readings and plays in actual sound

  • @Mr556x45mm yes and i believe there must be something beyond our mind, like misterious and perhaps another creatures .....it's creepy..

  • @pecintapiano I dont exactly think there may be creatures on Io, but certainly makes creepy yet interesting sounds!

  • A moon covered with radiation

  • Nasa has space sounds up on their site: Just go to NASA home and type planet sounds in the search bar at the top right

  • this may sound like some sounds created by a software but it is really sound from electromagnetic of the planet

  • 0:15 woah

  • Io, Io, it's off to work I go.

  • This sounds like the planes that fly over my house.

  • hard to believe that it's true sound, want to see this vid on some scientific site, not here. cuz it may be stupid joke

  • Hey man, if you ever get around to it, can you send me some links?

  • BULL SHIT SOUND NOT REAL

  • It sounds like star wars

  • It is trying to warn us!

  • @kokaiini You're an idiot.

  • @christhimself I could say the same thing about you, judging only by your nickname :P

  • a lot of what your hearing can be anything from the magnetic flux of the gravitational pull of the orbit, spin frequency, and solar winds

  • That's so FUCKIN' cool.

  • thats wierd how some wierd sounds comes from space? it's like spaceship sounds.

  • wow love this sounds ! thnks 4 upload

  • so this was recorded in 1991... i wonder how the sounds change from time to time... would it be any similar to the way it is today? how big is lo compared to earth? that's what's missing in the description.

  • hey Legolas3111 i added yu as a friend this is really amazing

  • i wonder what europe sounds like.

  • There are no synthesisers in space

  • How fitting, yes? Most of these astronomical bodies sound as if they are haunted. Well, they are in deed barren and rather lifeless, thus it fits my overall expectations for them.

  • There's no sound in space, dumb asses. unless it has an atmosphere, which I doubt, because it's a mood.

  • Moon*

  • @onlymetalno1 I love how assholes like you are saying stuff about no sound in space :D

you should research a bit sound exist in space in magnetic waves. Theese waves can be decoded into sounds you hear :D

  • @TheInterstella5555 officialy electro-magnatic (not magnatic) waves are not sound they are radiation like light and radio is but these are indeed capable of being transformed into sound we can hear

  • @YoshiTheGreenOne Yeah thank you :D

  • ...

    ...

    ...

    WHAT THE FUCK UNIVERSE

  • For what reasons do they make these noises? Can anyone explain more in depth? Obviously I don't want you to explain 'sound' to me, but something 'makes a sound'...just wondering how these sounds come about is all.

  • @BTJMO mostly winds from its very faint atmosphere and solar wind hitting its surface

  • @BTJMO The current theory is that since Io is so close to Jupiter, the tidal forces make it one of the most actively volcanic bodies in the solar system. This 'squeezing' of Io by Jupiter's magnetic field cause huge eruption on Io that can actually shoot debris off Io, since its escape velocity is relatively low, and then interacts strongly with Jupiter's magnetic field which creates electromagnetic waves which can be transformed into sound. Look up "Radio Jove Project" for more information

  • @noodlewhip Thank you for taking the time to explain, noodlewhip! One learns something new every day, I'll be sure to check out the Radio Jove Project! Thanks again.

  • @noodlewhip io is squeezed by gravity not by jupiter magnatic field, also radio is created by solar wind hitting jupiters magnetic field, this means this is not necessarily created by particles from io, thus every planet except for venus and mars emit this kind of radio radiation, i guess you got some info scrambled up LOL

  • @YoshiTheGreenOne oops sorry, i said tidal forces so that implies gravity. There are audio files that you can hear when voyager crossed Jupiter's bow shock, but these recordings are S-Waves and L-Waves, which come from debris from Io's volcanoes interactions with the magnetic field of Jupiter not solar wind LMAO

  • @noodlewhip LOL scrambled info for the win right :)

  • @noodlewhip it definitely sounds like solar wind sometimes, especially on other recordings

  • Yeesh, Io sounds creepy....

Quick question: Are the waves coming from Jupiter terrible strong? Because if they are, I'm interested as to how they separated the two from each other.

  • it sounds like an earthquake... or atleast the earthquake sounds u hear in movie's

  • so what? real or not, its still nice to hear to.

  • so what? real or not, its still nice to hear to.

  • its crazy anyone would believe nasa or the govnt space really haves air they just lie to us just like about history science and all those shit in those text books

  • Fascinating but outer space has a creepy feeling. So mysterious.

  • 2:00.... Undeniable meditation chimes... not unlike windchimes blowing gently in some evil, morose, and macabre breeze... Also, very quietly the sound of screams.

  • first few seconds seconds like vangelis

  • @DeathIzurfriend

you're not far off, it's extremely volcanic.

  • sound in first few seconds fascinates me...

    (knowing it's from the space)

  • If this is like hell, why people are afraid of hell, no one can live out there ;-/)

  • i just love these sounds :) best for sleeping :D (but be ready for some insane dreams xD)

  • the greek playwright aeschylus wrote "prometheus bound" and included io as a minor character. once a beautiful virginal priestess, she had been transformed by jealous hera into a white heifer because she was unlucky enough to be seduced by zeus. combined with the bovine makeover was the maddening punishment of biting horseflys which drove her all over greece. perhaps these sounds emulate her miserable mooing.

  • truely a tortured soul

  • There are some very interesting sub-tones , but you have to really add some volume to hear them.I hear a rumble (Jupiter?), a whoosh or rush, kind of like a steady wind, then something like a horn about ready to sound, and a intermittent pulsation, very interesting!!

  • War of the worlds, only why are there sound of landing airplanes!

  • Omg...theres something out there...i know it!...i feel it! you all feel it!.............

    GWAAAAAAAAHAHAERARARANFGWAFAKWEADWASAAAAAAAA >O<

  • Its so calming but makes my spine tingle!

  • Wind, Volcanoes, Seismic Activity, anything else?

  • Dark ambienT ;D

  • How does it get that flanging sound? Io wins at making ambient music

  • I wanna use this in a song.

  • the beginning sounds like io is crying because hes getting sqeezed by jupiters garvitation... so sad thumps up for io the poor sad moon =(

  • bollox not true sound

  • @DjGisME

nope it is the true sound

  • @Legolas3111 omg!!! you are joking, right?

  • @DjGisME

nope , this is the electromagnetic sound of the moon Io that was caught on the Project Voyager in 1991 ( i think it is the good year )

if you want i can send you some links for more informations

  • @Legolas3111 wicked! yes please I will happily find out more. Thank you!

  • @Legolas3111 I was born in 1991 :D really nice year

  • @Legolas3111 I'm interested in these links. I'm not convinced this is real.

  • @Legolas3111 ; links for more information on Io recordings

    Can I have them, too?

  • @DjGisME nop

  • @DjGisME i dont know what u mean

  • Chuck Norris is snoring

  • i love listening to all these sounds. it reminds me how beatiful and also quit scary our universe is. this sounds could also be used in some sci-fi movies. i would need fresh underwear.. just for the sound effects :D

  • Sound can not travel through a vacuum (no air). So how did this happen, with a flat microphone on the planet's heart? @0:15 that was a UFO's ray gun

  • @Titsmageeski You're not listening to sound -- you're listening to electromagnetic waves translanted into sound by NASA scientists.

  • GOD. DAMN. Io is goth. I think I heard a scream in the beginning of this.

  • how do you know the sounds come from the moon and not jupiter? also where did you get this? sauce?

  • Is it possible to get the sounds of any of the terrestrial planets?

  • @pintorocker308 Yes.

  • because of the 400+ volcanoes on this moon, this recording that we are hearing is probably all of those volcanoes being so loud that it makes this "wake" of a noise. it is at times, very creepy. sounds like screams of dead people at times. 1 description I have read that is sounds like an underwater cave.

  • absolutly realy fantastic!!!! Thanks Technologi!!!!!!!

  • Wow...this is rather interesting....soubds kind of distorted at times but mostly windy real cool!

  • this is billion times better than i-doser :D

  • must be the volcanoes

  • @GavenLovesPokemon you are correct

  • awesome!

  • Sounds gassy and explosive/massive windy!

  • this making me sleepy.

  • what is IO?

  • @eastofakron2 i think lo is one of jupiters moons

  • @FUCKTHEHATERZ420

hey, that's pretty good for a stoner.

  • @eastofakron2 Io is one of the four galileian's jupiter moons

  • @eastofakron2 its one of the four biggest nmoons around jupiter and is one of the most volcanicly active object in our solar system

  • ohhhhhhh little sweety... biting one.

  • She's pissed!! MOVE!!

  • what is the sphere of lo?

  • @SOyouTHINKurFUNNY It's one of Jupiter's moons, if memory serves.

  • what is this for a planet?

  • @FCB201294 the jovian (jupiter) moon Io, it's from electromagnetic waves being emitted by the body and converted into audio for you and me to hear.

  • @thucydides123 thank you :D i likes the universe :D and its really nice

  • the sound reminds me of metroid prime

  • im scared :( lol kidding sounds nice

  • Hovercraft Sounds.

  • So how did they know about the music of the spheres before NASA?

  • Heavy air traffic!

  • Very interesting vid, my dear elf...;D
