I love the Dogo Canario, but this breed is not for everyone! My neighbor had one and unfortunately they were forced to put him down. He escaped 3X's from his home. The third time he escaped he got into two other neighbors yards and killed two different Pit Bulls (All happened over the course of 8 hours). Again, wonderful dog but VERY DANGEROUS

What blood line were those Presa Canarios from or what breeder? I just want to make sure so I don't buy one from that breeder.

american bulldogs as well are in league with pitbulls...minus the terrier bred into pitbulls they are pretty much the same...am bulls lack the same strength and drive but exercise in the same way...theyre well built...they like spring poles

yes they are bigger than most bulldog types exept the pitbull...alowing more room for agility and strength

i think your thinking of the staffordshire but the pure bred american pitbull terrier are about the same size...in fact ive owned both and they are almost exactly alike exept for the jowels and pitbulls rib cage is bit bigger...but ya roughly the same size...and both very athletic and excitable

Oh no American Bulldogs are natrualy bigger than pit bulls of course I am talking about the standard size is about 75-110pounds for some apbt lines and others are 75-120 thats twice the size of a pit bull wieghs about 30 to 50 pounds

had many pitbulls and bulldogs.

can tell you apbt's are not bigger than Ambulls. but they are more athletic and agile than Ambulls

the true american pitbull terrier were 50-70 average weight which is still a big dog. american bull dogs can vary in weight but are generally bigger. I have trained them for many years along with many other breeds.

@mickeydiesel thats wrong the Am pitbull weight is 44lbs to 50lbs which 60lbs is rare these days

No, true APBT,s are 45-80 and 80 is on the huge end for males. Staffordshire Bulls are smaller yet. The Amstaff is the same size as the APBT. 40-55 pounds is a nice size for a APBT.

I agree, there's some rough dogs 30-50 lbs and 70lbs is about tops for ability in APBT's.. Believe it, there's real APBT's about that size who can handle absolutley anything in existance.
